ShadyRascal, Which racks did you use if any? Thanks
Gave it a long overdue bath today then went out for a ride. Stripped of the side case racks for the first time (they are quick release) and ditched the upper portion of my windscreen and threw the stock seat on. Probably lost 20 pounds up high getting ride of the Corbin and the racks and lowered the riding position w/ the stock seat. The shorty screen was good too (bottom half of Givi Airflow). Like a whole other bike. Really was hard to believe how different it felt. Plus w/ my head up in the air all of those noises I was worried about went away!
I use the SW Motech quick lock jobs and the Wolfman wraparound bag adaptor kit. Works very well, and if I want to set up for hard bags doing pavement trips, they'll work dandy for that too.
One of my favourite shots from a trip around the Cabot Trail:
Very Nice.. The 1K is awesome...
I've been lurking and learning here for a while - just joined last night! I have enjoyed all of the great photographs on this forum, and also in this thread.
Here is an image of my bike that I captured last night before riding home from work.
welcome mike. great looking bike.
Here is my favourite shot!
Thank you both for your encouragement! I really have been inspired by some amazing photography on this forum. For example, Kreegah - your image in the field is great!
On another note, I started a blog that puts all of my farkles and thoughts in one place. It's a work in progress as I have only had it up for about a week. Hopefully it will help someone else along the way as I gathered all of my "Wishlist Items" from here, two other forums, and about 15 different websites.
Hiya, you just got another blog follower.

Thanks EVLED and MrGoldfish! I plan on putting up some pictures soon of some cool old bikes in a WWII museum I went to.
I had to do some errands today so took the Strom out and ended up by Lake Ponchartrain. Watched an angler land a shark and a nice redfish. He was still doing well when I left....
Went out for a nice ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway today after a morning getting some minor work done in Brevard. Rode up to Black Balsam and then back to Asheville. Gorgeous day out today! Saw a few other Strom riders on the BRP as well, so if you saw a guy with a red 'Stitch, white helmet and this beauty between his legs...it was me.
I desperately need to get some racks and a topcase mounted so I can haul all my crap I don't need....

Picture taken about 10 minutes before it got stuck in a ditch between a very big rock and a tree. It pays to be extra careful on the twistiest road of the day after a long day of twisties.
