I'm looking primarily for Accounting/Finance work in the Greater Los Angeles or greater Southwestern States region (will relocate for the right opportunity). I will also consider a career change, as it seems that this is the trend for finding work lately. I am open to just about anything, but tend to shy away from commission-only work. I am scientifically-minded, but have also been praised for my photography and prose. A long shot for sure, but here's an "abstract" of my resume . . . Graduated Cal Poly with a BS in Business Administration, Public Accounting 1992. Spent the last 10 years or so doing Fund Accounting for City of Azusa, City of El Monte and City of Rialto, including several temporary assignments and consulting projects. Have worked in a CPA firm for 3 years doing audits. Have done work in Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Purchasing, Financial Statement and Workpapers Preparation and much, much more. Have worked for private industry, including traded companies the rest of the time. Served in the Army 4 years as a Supply Specialist. Much more about me than I want to list here. I can LEARN and DO just about ANYTHING, and do it well . . . just need a break for a real opportunity. Thanks for your consideration. Happy Trails!
