Sounds like he founds his wheels!!!
Welcome to ADV, Charlie! Any friend of Doug is definitely OK in my book. Wishing you the best on your recovery.
Glad to hear an update Charlie! Good luck with the rehab. Welcome to the asylum!
You got me! It has something to do with Ljubica. I am exercizing and trying really hard. And Ljubica is doing the typing.
Any friend of Doug is also my friend and all of you out there can count on me in Serbia. You'll like it here, just as my friend Doug did. He keeps coming back so I guess he did.
See you soon, Doug!
The asylum is my natural environment! Thanks for the positive thoughts!
many of them coming your way Charlie!!!
<BR>+1 Hope your rehab continues to go well!
Hi Charlie, Definitely, welcome to the asylum and send our greeting to your Russian mates! All the best for your recovery and I hope you come out of it 100%.
and to you too!
It was really cool to meet you at SuperRally in Patras (we were the Americans that stopped by to chat on Sunday morning). I hope to be able to make it over to your biker camp before my tour is up here in Italy. Take Care and thanks again.
Hi there Doug...it's me , the guy you met in the city of Galatzi, Romania, the one who approached you in front of the hotel you were to stay overnight...I made it to London , and at the Download Festival in Donington.I had a hell of a time riding my Sportster, 3000 km in two and a half days and you were right, is a good bloody horse this old bone I ride on!Send my greetings to your friend Liam as well and maybe we will meet again sometimes!Ride safe!
Hi Steve & Dac
it was nice to meet y'all also
Altho Dac, it was a little weird to be in a town in Romania where I dont know ANYONE & have someone waving & hollering 'HEY DOUG' from across the street!
Im glad you made it to the UK alright, its hard to beat those evo sporties!
Hope to see you again this summer.
I got to visit my friend Charlie in Serbia last month, he is doing better, altho he has lost some weight. He has a good mental attitude tho, which is a big part of the long road to recovery. He has recently been moved to a good rehabilitation center in Beograd, which is good. I plan to visit him again sometime this summer, if possible.
Here he is with 2 guys that were in the secret police & trained in torture methods during the Balkan war.
after the war, they could only get jobs as physical therapists.
just kidding, they were nice guys, altho Charlie may not agree!
Just curious.....where are you now Doug???
dougs left that thread and on this one
yep, new bike, new trip, new ride report.
I thought about just continuing on this thread, but that may turn it into more of a blog, which seems to be frowned upon by the powers that be
So I started a new one.
Im in Bulgaria now, been ridin around europe since May, & takin off from here in a couple weeks to do a tour of the middle east.
Should be interesting!
Well looks like I've got some catching up to do
Hey Doug. I came a bit late to this party and was wondering if the PayPal account thing is still active?
Thanks for taking us along, BTW!! I see a spin around Eastern Europe in my not to distant future thanks to you!!!
I visited Bogdan & Anya again this summer, they are doing good, & have about a dozen kids living with them.
I havent gotten that far in my current trip report, Im runnin a bit late on my postings.
Eastern Europe is great, if you have any questions about anything, just let me know.
If you get to visit Bulgaria, stop by & say hi.
I've bought a bike from Doug here in Alabama....
Anyway.... just wanted to bump this ride report again and let Doug know we took his 550 Honda along with 3 other 550's and rode them to Mexico and back from Enterprise Al.
A quick off topic here.. was just wondering if Enterprise still had the statue of the Boll Weevil. Last I heard, they wre collecting money to restore it... about 10 years ago.
