Before you cut ... try Kroil http://www.kanolabs.com/ it is amazing stuff for 'rusty parts' and it worked for me

Also this tread may be helpful on dealing swingarm bolt issues

    Good luck!

I ordered the 16 tooth sprocket. I am in the process of finishing the electric start conversion. I have to finish wiring a 200 Watt stator into the harness and that is causing a little stress. I have to build a battery box as well as wire in a starter solenoid. Have a 5.8 gallon tank and a back rack at the border to pick up soon. Looking forward to getting the bike dirty!

Where do you plan on putting the battery box? I have a tool canister opposite of my exhaust under the subframe and I'm struggling to imagine anywhere else a decent battery would fit?

I put the battery under left side cover after fabbing a bracket to the sub. I used to have one of the old "dual-tool" kits there but it had to go to make room. No regrets. [IMG]

I found that a small lithium fits between the gas tank and frame.

Dude, seriously... the very last place I would put a Lithium battery is under a gasoline tank.
