thanks guys !
italy is a good place to live and naples is awesome !!!
I have a 90 XT600 I bought new and just put a Acerbis 20L tank on it fits good, I see WHOREPEDO has one on His by the picture He posted, Purchased at justgastanks.com it will take 90 days to receive unless He has one in stock, No I don't think the clark will fit
I got lucky... my buddy bought his XT with the acerbis on it and didnt want it. I swapped him my metal tank + $100.
nice, yea mine came with one on it so I am pretty glad about that cause I am not sure if I would have dropped the money to get one
Wow, that's not a bad price. I think I paid almost $325 for mine unused on eBay.
Lucky. Yeah, I can't afford to drop $500 on an Acerbis tank right now. As a matter of fact I think I'm going to be forced to sell my '93 this week. Very sad.
its a 92 with only 11,000 km,i have it on ebay for sale ,looking at getting a klr here to match my other klr in colombia
I live in Gunnison, CO and when I was driving around today I saw a stock 1990 XT 600 in decent shape for sale at a gas station for $1750. I can put some pics of it up if anyone is interested in it.
Cool. Thanks for the info. I just sold the XT yesterday so I won't be needing the tank but I'll pass the info. along to him. I can't wait to get another XT hopefully in about 6 months. Keep sharing the info. on here because it is a great resource for the XT owners.
I'm not interested in it but that seems like a decent price depending on whether it runs good etc. I just sold my '93, basically stock although repainted plastics (black) with about 11,700 miles for $1500. Needs front fork seals and the speedo quit but I think my price was pretty fair.
well thats good to know for pricing mine if I ever chose to sell it, I picked ip up for around $850, but I put in new a new wiseco piston, valve seals, fork seals, and it still needs a new rear shock.
I thought it was a pretty good deal for a 95'
oh and it came with that big acerbis tank
Went and did a little exploring today. Nothing special, just a cool, quiet little spot i found in the middle of nowhere...
Nice bike, cool area.
What year is that bike?
Has anyone changed their exhaust? any recommendations?
I am currently using a Suppertrap exhaust. It is only a slip on muffler. They are not too expensive and you can tune them with their disk, to increase or decrease back pressure. I run them on all my bikes. Hope this info helps.
I use a Supertrapp too.....it's not quiet, not by a long shot. But it cures all the top end noise.....
I checked their website and there is no XT 600 listed in the Dirt Bike section. Did you use a "general" muffler or one from another bike-model that fits the XT also?
I am intersted in changing my stock exhaust also, so any further advice would be helpful.
You said that it is not quiet, do you have any video uploaded somewhere like youtube with the XT+supertrapp exhaust running?
I looked in their 2008 catalog:
Um....it's off an XR250.But the mufflers are all the same, you just need to make a new pipe between the front pipe and the muffler. An if you have a dog leg frame where the original exhaust is a structural member, then you need a bracket to strengthen it up again.I used a nice piece of chrome towel rail.
Ive got a Supertrapp that came with my bike from the previous owner. He swears it was on the bike but i cant get it go on. the pipe on the inside of the can is just too small to slip over the pipe.
