I don't like the factory oil filter location either, but I'm not willing to risk moving it. Too many additional seals, parts, and hoses that are all possible failure points.

I'd also like more info on Pluric!

I have a mail from ACD with the final skid plate specs and they decided anodized in titanium colour.

Shouldn't have been a huge surprise, after all the title of the thread is:

The WTF-picture thread (Post political stuff here and earn a vacation)

Is that BPB or APB (Before Pluric's Ban or After Pluric's Ban)? :D

I thought the thread title always used to be just "The WTF-picture thread".

People have been relocating the oil filter on Yamaha V-Stars for years. Not sure what Yamaha was thinking on that one, you have to remove the exhaust to change the oil filter? :huh Maybe that kit would work on the Tenere.

After 35000 km changed oil and before filling the Yamalube 10W50 I changed the three engine covers with new ones painted Pearl Black and replaced all bolts with black aluminum from Pro-Bolt

Today I replaced the spark plugs with NGK Laser Iridium which should last another 60000 km

And while the air box was out we replaced both down hoses from the front brake deposit and the clutch deposit with steel braided and 1" longer.

My Black Pearl is almost ready to go round the world

    Cheers,
    Roberto

Be sure to give initial and longer-term impressions of the spark plugs. They don't appear to be the 'projected tip' variety that is used for the OEM spark plug...maybe I am not seeing this correctly from the pics? The center electrode and insulator should project past the end of the plug by about the same amount as the OEM. It has to do with locating the flame front closer to the center of the combustion chamber for greater efficiency. I still don't see any iridium plug listed at the NGK website as a direct replacement for the stock Tenere plug. That's not to say another won't work, but you are braver than me in this regard.
