When I nearly overcooked a corner on gravel with the stock Tourances, a stomp on the rear brake still let me get the back end out enough to rotate the bike and do a brake slide all of the way around the bend. I believe I was also in TC2, but I doubt that made a difference.
I know I violated protocol....... but I ride a KLR, own two Yamahas and want a Tenere. Can I get a special pass.... just this once?

Iv'e said this before but, I had an 09 GSA that ran on, on a wet grass slope on my farm. I bought The S10 a short while later and it just stopped on the same piece of wet grass.
It's as simple as that. As was said above, the BMW has given bike ABS a bad name.
If you want a disconnect switch for fancy riding then fit one. The rest of the time the Yam will look after your ass in a brilliant fashion.

He may be better looking, slimmer, have more expensive sunglasses but he ain't got the fa*ny magnet gene that Pluric has. Besides, the dork still has his little leg gouging stick on his side stand.
I am going to adjust my steering to get rid of that annoying noise. Do you know whats the torque for the two nuts beneath the top triple clamp, the nut over the triple clamp the one with the rubber plug, and the bolts that tighten the suspension bars in both triple clamps????
These guys have a switch that turns the ABS off.
Lower nut. Tighten to 38 ft/lbs. Then loosten and retighten to 13 ft/lbs.
Top nut. Finger tight only (against the rubber ring) until the slots line up to allow the top security ring to be put on.
