You're exactly right!!! In fact, I was posting while sitting on my Harley... And it was on the *TRAILER*, too!!! :lol3

But don't tell anybody about me wearing nothing but my H-D logo chaps at the time, OK? :shog

Nigeria. There is a small upfront fee to have it released and that will also
cover the free shipping paper work. As soon as a US sponser has been arranged
they will send the bike. Your provided account information will be carefully
guarded and as always the blessings of God to be with you.

Not sure what incident you're referring to, but the pic above is a road in Fukushima.

You know waving to other riders isn't done in Japan, with the exception of Hokkaido touring. If you really want to freak riders out here, start waving to them when you're in your car. :lol3

I was there, at the 2010 Tokyo Motor show, when Yamaha released the production version of the S10:

In July of that year I visited the Yamaha Communication Plaza, Main HQ and Museum:

I finally pulled the trigger today and snagged a 2013, from GForce Yamaha in West Denver, Colorado. Was in and out in 2 hours and some change and I hadn't been in there in many years. There is a great Yammie Dealer in Denver, I was beginning to give up on that... GForce did me right.

Rode it home 30+ miles this afternoon and had to jump on some conference calls.

After those, I ran out to the garage and started de-DOTing the bike. Removed front and rear reflectors and all the lawyer stickers.

    Let the farkling begin!!!

I've enjoyed keeping up with this thread, sorry it took me so long to get my act together!

I get plenty of waves where I'm at, un-initiated even. Most of those come from people on Japanese bikes. Every once in awhile from retired Ojiisan groups on electraglides.

Congrats on the new bike Rocket! that looks really great! Today i went to a local dealer to see if they had a The new Cb 1100 just to have a looksee and they did but i spent more time dooling over the 2013 grey S10 they had. Man they really are nice bikes! Congrats again!

Interesting, maybe because there are less people riding up there. That has happened to me once in a while in isolated areas. But there are so many bikes on most of the good roads down this way that you'd be waving all the time if people did that.

Back to the S10, have you had a chance to go for a ride on your new seat?

Only for about 20min on the way back from my winter storage at work.

So far so good, but not enough time in the saddle to judge the comfort. The ergo feels more level fore-aft than the stocker. Also, the seam in my jeans doesn't seem to, err... cause problems. Even after short rides on the OEM, I was Ieft with the 'just rode a bike' feeling in the crotch area. This seat is firmer than OEM and just a hair higher..probably because it doesn't compress as far.

The weekend will be kinda busy, but I might shoehorn a couple of hours riding in there somewhere.

Good to hear! That's not too far away from me, relatively speaking.

Best feeling in the world? "Getting a new motorcycle in the spring!"
