Yamaha had a Super Tenere at the Austin MotoGP (COTA is a awesome track) with the Warn/Yamaha accessory winch on it, took some video and pics for everyone..

Wow, that would have been awesome when I got stuck here for 25 minutes last weekend.

or 20 feet later when I got stuck here for 20 more minutes. May have to look into that. Although hard to imagine the plastic holding on for much weight.

I'm thinking, as was mentioned earlier, that the winch is intended to come off the bike to be used, that the rear rack is merely a storage position. Makes sense since the rack is rated for something like 11 lbs (granted that's conservative for reasons of litigation). Might be different if it was mounted to the Altrider or SW Motech racks...

    But I could be wrong.

Oi, you lot are being very cruel to my bike. Now just stop it this instant.:nono

You have no idea how sensitive Wallace (my S10) is to all these "fat" jibes.

The fact that he is only getting 170 slow miles to a tank and struggles with triple digit speeds means that he is built for comfort not speed.

Fact is, "Wallace" is really a girl and she's probably none to happy with that name. If you wanted to ride a guy you should have bought a raven. :augie

Looking good Ray! Quite the adventure already. Following the blog looks like good times. Oh and it will be hot before you before you want it to be. You all will see more of this country than this native has. Can't wait to be retired and travel without time restraints. Stay safe

Somehow I think 'TONere' fits it better.

    Maybe even 'TONerRay'???

Other than that looks like everyone is enjoying themselves.:thumb

Hi Ray ... for fuel economy I reduced the richness on the O2 optimizers but it was too much and the bike ran awfully bad ... had to return to previous levels and also placed the CO settings in ´0´ (zero) ... much better but you cannot get better than 15 km per liter.
    Cheers,
    Roberto

What with the 'fat jibes' and all, did you weigh all your gear?

As the standard max load is 461 lbs including people, maybe you did some upgrades?

    Just wondering.
