I installed the ACD skid plate last night. Easy to install and looks great. We'll wait a bit to test it :rofl

Someone who has a mounting plate for the controller unit for the OEM heated grips from WaspWorks that is not of use? Gone through WASP threads and it looks great but after emailing him he does not make them anymore :cry :cry
I could not install the heated grips as i found the mounting of the control unit horrible. Don't ride in winter and looks is important.

Have orded the ACD skidplate. Waiting .....

You sound like a potential BMW owner. :D

The stock position puts it right in reach where it can be quickly adjusted with minimal effort.

Maybe not a bmw for me. Perhaps i will put them on during the winter as the Waspwork mount is not possible to buy anymore. Don't miss the heated grips but they are not to any use in a box.

You left the dealership empty handed. That's the crazy part.

Hi guys, FWIW I paid 11500 USD for my black 2012 Super Ten, a demo bike with 69 miles on it (11 of them mine). Then the dealer found a 200 USD cash back coupon from Yamaha so the final price was more like 11300 USD. This is in Indiana. The service was quite good also from Westfield Yamaha.
On top of that I got lucky: filled out the service questionnaire about my purchase experience from Yamaha, and was the winner of an iPad mini! Cherry on top.
This was end of last year, I'll pull the exact date if someone is interested. Hope this can help others establish a base price. The bike had no options.

    Cheers, Ben.

You guys talking about buying new bikes for around $12,000 just makes me weak at the knees

I got a great deal on one of the "new" 2011 S10's demonstrators here in Oz (any colour you like as long as it's blue and with just a few 100 kms on the clock) ... super beaut ... limited time only ... never to be repeated ... once only deal price ... of AUS$18,300 :deal

Or to put it in US terms ... a mere $17,360 at today's exhange rate ... :evil

So coupled with the price gouging that also goes on locally with spares prices you might appreciate that we're just a little bit envious

It's almost as bad here in Japan, where the S10 is made. They are only available as reimports and a new one costs about $16,500 OTD.

I've forgotten the Super Tenere price in Norway but the price on a new FJR this summer was roughly (by memory) a mere US $43,000.

Yea, we Americans can forget how many ways we are blessed. Over here MSRP is a steal. We still haggle and wrangle over + or - a grand.
