Yup, second Sierra Soiree'. The two bikes on the left of the first picture belong to MotorMike and RockinRobin. In the group picture, large hatless guy in the very back with the goatee and looking at the camera looks like Vance.

EDIT: Saw a pic that said Sierra Soiree' II. I guess MotorMike and RockinRobin parked in the same place the second time around....

Saw him and his PD this last weekend. He showed up late on Saturday, so didn't ride with us. But we did shame him into actually riding the bike instead of driving his truck.

Fuck me that was a cold weekend! :vardy

Mike and Robin rode into Gardnerville and bought an electric blanket. We were camped next to them in an RV spot, so they plugged in and stayed toasty all night.

I didn't have a sleeping bag in my bivy sack, wearing all of my riding gear. Because of that night, I now have a nice compact down sleeping bag.

Due to the cold, I left really early (0400?). The temperature actually climbed as I reached Carson Pass. That was one hell of a temperature inversion in Hope Valley that night.

I think that valley is a cold magnet. I've ridden past there a couple times, and its ALWAYS been like 10F colder than other nearby areas.
