Noisytoys, what mirrors are those? They look good on the bike!
Ducati`s :eek1, horrible expensive, and needed to be operated soon.
Just picked one up myself. Thanks for the informative thread.
I'm hoping to put some dual sport-ish tires on mine...
Has anyone used seat concepts for their seat? Any pics?
I taped my tail piece with blue painter's tape at a track day and the tape peeled off a chunk of the red paint
Anyone found a source for this paint?
Wish I could help you on the paint...
I did hear from Seat Concepts that they do NOT have a kit for the xmoto. That's too bad...
Any other recommendations?
Man, that's lovely. Does it feel as good as it looks?
I talked to seat concepts about doing a seat on my xchallenge (I've got the xmoto seat) and they said it has to be a custom job, $250 + shipping both ways. Damn! How much was that meyer seat? Comfy?
Since no one has posted one with a Hornig 'beak',i've dug one out for you! :)

Waaay comfy, 1 1/2 tanks of gas before needing a stretch! Cost was under 2 bills. I keep typing Rich when I mean Rick :eek1 http://www.rickmayercycle.com/
I just started painting it tonight, hopefully i will have it finished tomorrow. I will post pics once it is all together.
Awesome, can't wait to see it back together.
You can see parts of my Seat Concepts seat here: http://advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=20193799&postcount=4280
As somebody posted, it needs to be a custom job. They actually only charged me $200 because there was a bit of delay on their end. The delay wasn't overly long and they offered the reduced price without prompting . The seat looks nice and has firmer foam than stock. I haven't found a night and day difference in comfort, but I never really found the stock seat that bad. My main justification was simply to get a black seat rather than the goofy blue on the X-Chalenges. If I had an X-Moto seat, I may never had changed.
I typically ride way up at the front of the seat. So there isn't much difference there between the SC seat and the stock one (or any other). I haven't taken a longer trip yet, but when I do I tend to use more of the seat. I think this is where the SC seat will really shine since it is wider, flatter, and firmer once you get to the main part of the seat. It does feel noticeably better when I sit there, but I simply don't use that part of the seat that much on my commute.
I got the regular vinyl. I would probably get the top in a textured material or the gripper material if I did it again. The stock vinyl is a little too slippery. Not a big deal, but a little more grip would be better.
If you are considering suede, SC has a pretty significant upcharge. I think it is about $100 and that puts it into the same price territory as a Renazco. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I have no regrets on the SC seat and may end up getting one for my V-Strom. But I'm sure I would have liked a Renazco too.
It is taking me longer than I want. I am working on painting the rims now. I was trying to get it finished before my son was born, but he won. So he is taking a bit of my time. I am shooting to have it done by the time the Daytona 500 rolls around.
Congrats on the baby boy
Now get back to work and get the bike together
that green looks great! where are those LED's going?
Fresh set of Metzeler Sportec M3's put on..
The leds are going to replace the turn signals. I am not sure if i am going to use those exact leds or where i am going to mount them. My buddy has a whole bucket full of aftermarket leds, so I have a bunch to play with....
sounds cool, I'm up in st. auggie. not too far from ya.
I had High Tech Speed X-Arc turn signals on my recently sold SV1000S. The bike needed a new flasher relay to get the flash rate correct. Any thoughts on if the XMoto will need something similar?
The X-Arcs are 300 lumens each and are extremely bright.
