Well as the tittle says, it is very stupid to brag about not had been injured while riding.
When you do that, a all the divine entities are being harassed and Murphy's laws are being implemented instantly.

Just after 30min of a conversation with a another guy about how I had no injuries in 20 years of enduro riding I clipped (didn`t even fall off the bike) a dry trunk of a tree and a branch sided between the knee guard and the boot, speared me 5cm deep in the leg and broke insight. This is how it looks 2 moths and 2 operations latter, I`m not posting any disgusting ones.

I`m posting that little crash as a reference as the trunk looked a lot like that one.

I know, it is a minor injure and I`m wining like a little girl, but it keeps me from riding 2 months now and maybe for one more.
    Godspeed and be safe!

Really? Guys, post all you want about not getting injured in a crash. Show people that ATGATT saves your butt. If you crash without gear and escape uninjured then good for you! I am an ATGATT kind of guy but really "dont brag about not being injured" blah blah blah STFU. I am PUI and IDC !!!!

I think you missed the sarcasm in the title pal.
I was wearing protective gear as always, and I was injured. It looks small now but the cut is 10cm (4inch) wide and 5cm (2inch) deep and by the time I got to the hospital I was starting to feel really dizzy because of blood loss, the boot was overfilled and was leaking through the straps.
It took me 2 ours to get off the mountain and ride to the hospital, the closest one was 60km (40miles)
So what are you talking about ?

IKT, Maybe they didn't read your opening comments where you said you were stabbed between your boot and knee pad. It's obvious you were geared up, and I'm glad you still have your leg. Nasty injury.

I do want to see the disgusting, pre-hospital, photos.

You're super unlucky (hitting in the gap) and lucky (no complications).

My uncle was walking at the lake this summer and he stepped down the bank on to a log and the log rolled and he slipped. He fell on his butt, feet slipping out forward, and basically sat down on the log. Unfortunately there was a small branch that essentially hit and went in right beside his taint/gooch and went ~6 inches deep and stopped when it hit his pelvis on the front. Missed all important parts and he made a full recovery but the risk of infection was huge and being in the trunk there's nothing to amputate if things went south. He too almost didn't make it back to the car but wasn't nearly as far away as you were.

    Glad you're healing up!

The thing is that you have to carry some firs aid bandages in case of a open beading wound and to gain some basic first aid assistance.
Years ago a guy a used to know crashed and he was unconscious, the other guys turned him on his back and he suffocated from his own saliva.
When you are passed out, the swallowing reflex isn't working.

P.S. That reminded me about that Belsan terrorist hostage situation 12 years ago in Russia where the SWAT team used a sleeping gas before entering. While carrying out the unconscious hostages and stacking them outside, half of them choke to death because they were put on their backs. So unfortunate and easy to be avoided..
