Been wandering back, a little randomly, and read this one again.

I'm an hour late on the rest of the days chores, but my time's not all that valuable, is it?

Earned a bump. Go back and read this thread from the beginning.

    Thanks again, Ned.

You're a poet, not verbose or too many details just the essence of the ride. Most enjoyable thank you.

I'm only half way through (page 7) and I can honestly say I think everything you mention or state is bang on. Well, almost. As much as I would enjoy a SE, I think for certain trips there are better bikes. I'd say a DR650, you'd say underpowered and poorly sprung. At least one of those can be changed to some degree. Its funny because on my trip I not only did many of the roads you did, but I had all the same thoughts! It's actually quite trippy. :huh

Nope. That's Guanajuato. Wicked little city. I sadly only got to enjoy it for two days, but had a great time walking around, eating delicious food and taking in the sites an sounds. One day I sat for almost two hours at a cafe sipping on espresso and limeade just people watching and spectating. It was actually very enjoyable. Food costs are very reasonable there too for such a fantastic town.
