throttle cable reinstall on throttle body end

    Any tasty tips on getting them on? Yes I know which one is which. No I don't know clutch side from clutch lever side (bad joke).

    Straight forward install, if you pull the throttle bodies off. Otherwise, you must have surgeon hands.

    Keep the return cable loose so it doesn't put any force on the auto idle device. The throttle must hit the hard stop before the return cable tightens up.

    Pulling throttle bodies was my next idea but I just hate removing them for fear of messing up the seal. Oh well. Thanks.

    I just did this. I pulled the carb off but left everything connected. I cut the old cables away. After I connected the upper end to the throttle I used a zip tie to keep the throttle bodies open... That help tremendously so I could use both hands... getting the ends in the pully... Much easier...

    I am looking for an old cable to use as a template for a custom build.... would happily pay your postage costs for the old cable.
