Just installed my LeoVince slipon exhaust on my Tiger 800 XC, and when I went to put the SW-MOTECH heel guard on, I noticed at the very top left it is hitting the exhaust pipe. It's not too bad, but it is definitely putting pressure on the new exhaust. I tried adjusting the exhaust as much as I could, but it really didn't seem to help.

Do I really need to worry about the thing putting pressure on the exhaust pipe, or is it no big deal? Anyone else run into this? If so, what have you done to resolve it? Put a bigger washer in place behind that bolt?

I wouldn't let it touch. It will most likely rub a hole eventually. Can't you bend the guard enough that it clears?

I wasn't sure if bending it would cause it to break at one of the joints, but I will give it a try. Thanks!
