Yoyo2369 --My lifeproof case; for my iPhone. , has worked for me. Supposed to be able to take it back and get a new one when it gets bad. - lifeproof guarantee. Probably BS but the case works regardless. Waterproof and all

Yes, the Lifeproof case is WATERPROOF and meets all the mil-specs. They sell a handlebar mount as well. The only issue is the charging port on the case can't be opened with it in the mount. However, I used a Dremmel and changed that. The case is very strong and holds it nice and secure but you can easily take the phone out when you run into the store. I've done lots of looking around and these cases seem to the best out there in my opinion. The phone and case hold up well when I put it on my mountain bike as well and hit some downhills. Let me know if you want a picture?

    Guys,

I've read somewhere about a guard for the exhaust just behind and above the RHS peg, but can't find it!! Did a thousand miles on my 800 XC over the last few days and had to wire up some sort of mesh to stop my DriRider pants melting at the bottom of the right hand leg :huh

I'd be happy to knock something up but I reckon that it won't look half as good as a bought one.

Any ideas? I've done some searches on this forum but must be asking the wrong questions.

    cheers

    Trev

Anyone with the SW Motech crash bars? If so how you like em?? I won't be doing much off roading other than dirt roads and willl be riding VERY conservatively. I really don't like the Hepco.. i think they just destroy the look of the bike :cry

I tried searching through the thread previous posts but the search function sucks donkey!

Use Google. Type in: site:advrider.com [search term]
    Without the brackets.
Google will show results within the site. There's a syntax to narrow to a specific thread as well but I don't know that one.

I found some sweet Rox Speed FX Handguards. They dont show them to be bike specific. Anyone running these on your Tiger?? I was about to pull the trigger on them. ($60.00 US)

I love the look of these. Thoughts? Anyone running them?

My matte green 2013 was $11,500 before taxes. I made both dealers in Colorado Springs the same offer via email and they both accepted. But I had already contacted the dealer who contacted me first and sealed the deal. Who knows, he might of actually gone lower. But the buying experience was pleasant and professional.

So, managed to finish the whole install.

I set about making a switched and fused power supply. A 30A Relay was used, and energised from the tail light. I made 3 power "outlets", with micro fuses in them.

    Final harness
    [IMG]

When I first installed it, and switched it on, everything seems to work, except no power was coming through to the terminals. Turns out the fused holder for the main supply was fucked. Luckily that one, and not one of the three combined together on the outlet side. Simple fix, but from now on test every component before wasting time soldering it and kitting it out.

Overall, came out better than expected. Looking at the harness, it was massive, but once installed fitted well. Guess 2 weeks of planning paid off.

    Power is supplied to:
    GPS - 2A fuse
USB ports - 5A fuse (should make it a 4, as its 2x2A)
    Aux Ciggy lighter with 3A.

Ciggy lighter is just for incase. This will likely become a Spot light feed.

    The dash now.

USB ports. Actually lights up a cool blue too. Will charge stuff in my tank bag, and the phone mount will be right there.

The new lid. Cant tell you how impressed I am with this. Amazing vision, and so airy. Prob the only negative is its a little "heavy", but I like that, seems more resistant to buffeting

Fitted the Sena 10. Got it paired with the GPS, phone and comms with JDs. Bit of a learning curve on the comms, but turns out the volume was just too low to hear, so we thought it wasnt working.

Really impressed with the Senas. Although I seem to drop when SAT Nav issues voice commands, and then comms are lost for 5 seconds or so before being re-established.

How is the visor at speed. Look like it will catch a lot of air at 80mph.

So far fantastic. Although I've also fitted the touring screen, so had to really comment. Will know next week, when we on the road for 7 days.
