Tigers go round OZ.......

Discussion in 'Australia' started by lentil, Nov 7, 2011.

?

The Tigers leave Melbourne on the 8th of Nov will they make it all the way round

  1. Yes they will blitz it in and look good doing it

  2. The tigers will make it but only just (assuming they can find enough lattes)

  3. Nah they wont make the border

  4. They aren't a "insert favorite bike" here so there is no way they can make it

  5. Who cares just show me photos of the carnage

    Hey Phil,

I'm back on the road again after my 5 week swing out of Darwin on my ship. Hooked up with my mate Hydro on his DR650.

Shit mate, you didn't warn me that every servo in the N.T. had a bar!!! Certainly makes progress slower having a drinking partner that needs no encouragement to wash out the dust and keep the humidity at bay...

At Threeways and heading south to that big red Boondie. Lovin the life mate.

    Catch up soon fella.

    Hoonatic Ty

At least we have a sensible speed limit so you can make up lost time. Also no loss of licence between 05 and 08 just an on the spot fine.

Fitted the fue gauge sender unit in the Safari tank, I got 417 km before the light came on and it took 24.7 ltrs to refill probly had about 6-7 ltrs left so I reckon its time to fill soon after the light comes on so there is enough fuel left to cool and lubricate fuel pump. :1drink

I think it depends a bit who drills the holes for the sender it would only need to be 1mm or so different to give quite a variation. I think mine came on at 2 bars. mine holds about 31.7 when empty. Just carry a little fuel and keep going next time I reckon yours would have been close to coming on.

Has any one had issues with the fuel gauge with the stock tank?
I had to put the battery on charge the other day and now the fuel gauge doesn't register at all. Searching the forums finds others that say anything from a shake of the tank through to riding for a day and it starts working again.
Just wondering what others have experienced?

P.s. I still can't ride the bike for a little while yet. :cry

You need to ride it for about 5 km for the computer to work out whats happening. Its not an unusual thing it happens with most ECU controlled bikes

Well well well the Andy Strap bags are pack. Now just a leisurely 6 hour drive down to pick up Philth then catch the aluminum can to Perth. Then all Hell breaks loose as we attack another leg of Tigers around Oz. We will keep you updated as we get service. Remember Life's short so Hold It Flat. Gundy
