Very strange happenings in Attleboro....He just might be counted on for filling the slant.

less head for the game than last year, not enough hands to be a TE, so the quote was, basically he's just a blocking FB at this point.

What's amusing is that the guy letting him go is the guy who drafted him in the first round.

He made the cut today. This may be a premature ejaculation of sentiment or speculation.

I figured when he did not play the other night that it was over and he was going on the wire. Not the case. So who knows what BB has up his sleeve for Tebow.

TT is a strange case - I can't remember any other case of a Heisman winner in this situation.

I'm not a Pats or a Tebow fan, but he won in HS, College & he did very well for the Broncos. Jets - never should have happened - but that says more about that crazy organization than anything else. (I doubt ole Rexy will be there after this season)

Will he ever crack the line up as a QB ever again (for a prolonged period)? Either with the Pats or anywhere else?

Flutie.....all he did was win given a chance.

Hard to say what will happen with Tebow, IF the Pats put him on the wire. It is such a media circus, that many teams will not want to deal with it.

Brand is bigger than the results at this point and that is scary to most GM's.

August 31st is the big one. Squads down to 53 players. I have a Caffeine-Free Diet Coke that says he's not one of the chosen ones. It's an expensive gamble but I'm the kind of man who stands by his beliefs. No ice or glass, chilled in the can.

If the Jets or Pats had a receiver named Ground then Tebow would be going to the Pro Bowl. :evil

As we all know, highly successful college QB's routinely wash out of the NFL. Tebow's success in Denver was almost entirely due to a defense which kept the Broncos in the game until he could figure out how to complete a pass. Sometimes it took him four quarters.

Or more importantly, an OC who designed an offense around his strengths. I would agree the former "twin destructo's" kept them in many games that year. What an awesome D that went almost unnoticed by the media.

No bet. I can't see how he made it by today.

I'm just glad the "Tebow would be a great NFL tight end" million-man screech has died down. What an insult to real NFL tight ends that was.

I am not sure that is not true if there was time to teach him with a proper position coach. Once you are at that level, it is hard to switch disciplines on a dime. The boy is a physical specimen, of that there is no debate. I think he is powerful enough to play the position. Learning the finesse of the position would be a project of more than a summer camp. Especially, since he was still under center at practice today. Could he learn it if he wanted to? I think he could. Hard to go from being the QB to being a TE mentally I would imagine.

Belichick's got one TE in jail and another with one arm non-functional. He's still not seeing any tight end in Tebow. That's proof enough for me.

Why not linebacker? He has the size and speed. Maybe offense just isn't his thing! :evil

Saw yesterday on 'Around The Horn' that Kraft said he really likes Tebow and hopes he makes the team. Is that a message to Belichick?

Nope, he qualified the statement with "the coaches will make the final decision"

Everyone who has actually met the lad seems to like him. But that is not going to save him a roster slot. If he gets some playing time tonight...he may still be there Saturday. If it is like the last game, I am afraid he will be seeking again. Hey, he can always play for Gene Simmons.....now that would be a pairing of heaven and hell.
