Even if it's not here yet, you could join us for breakfast, and run chase vehicle!

Have to tell you, spent a week in Southern , Ohio this last week. The riding there is so much better there that it makes you not want to ride up here. All those great roads, hills, twisties and township roads. I live in Branch but mostly ride in other states for long rides. terrain is everything. So I'm here, but not here at the same time... Rather be in, NM, AZ, TN, So. OH, IN, MO, WV, CO, KY, ID, WA, UT or MT to ride. If you catch me riding I will usually be a lone wolf out there. Despise camping...

Yeah SE Ohio is awesome. And there is much better road riding almost anywhere but here. But the dirt is where it is at anyway. And the trails here and in the UP are pretty good.

How about this Saturday 8/5 morning? Meet in Gaylord or wherever based on where people are coming from, grab breakfast or a cup if coffee then do a short ride?

Sorry guys. Still working every daylight hour on the house. We're 2 months behind and today I pinched a nerve in my back. Otherwise I haven't even been on here in weeks.

We ended up not riding last weekend anyhow. I am unlikely to be able to do any meet up until into September now - two weekends to go prior to leaving on vacation and have WAY to much to do to get ready. But....maybe....September?????

Dont push your luck on the back. I have a severely ruptured disc that has been an issue for me for about 9 years now. I made the mistake of ignoring and pushing to hard early on and made it much worse. Now surgeons want to do a fusion and laminectomy. I keep pushing it off. Rest, do PT. Dont push it!

I've had this problem for over 30 years. It hasn't happened in over 5 though. It already is much better than yesterday, but rest is all I have planned for today and tomorrow.
I have until the 24th to have grass visibly growing or I will have to pay for an extension on the permit for $100.
Today I gave them a check for a $500 surety bond that gives us the opportunity for a temporary certificate of occupancy.
I'm hoping we can move in this weekend.

A permit to grow grass? A $100.00 fine for a late sprout? WTF? Where are you building?

Do you all know that there is a pro Steel Shoe National flattrack at Mt Pleasant Meadows 1/2 mile on AUG 19th? It's a day race. 1 PM start, 1030 hotlaps. 450s and twins with a bigger purse than an AFT race.... $44K overall! This is the old paramutual horse track on Mission. NOT the stock car track East of 127.

Sweet! Right in my old stomping grounds. Too bad I'm gonna be out of state that weekend, or I'd be all over this!

Welcome to Grand Traverse County :deal

Actually it's a soil erosion permit I applied for 8-24-16.:baldy
It's because the front property line is within 500 feet of the lake. Doesn't matter that it's across the road, through a forested lot and then over a hill and down to the water. Of course the sediment has to get past the little cottages with dirt driveways. :topes

I am in central Michigan area ride more on the GS then the KTM 200 XC but haven't given up on that yet. At 60 GS leaves me more refreshed nowadays. I do like to ride up to the north from here often as I can for a one day trip.

Retired, post here when you're thinking of heading north, and we can see if we can connect. I'm not likely available until into September, but that's not that far off.

I'm on a KTM 990 (most often two up), or a KTM 450 and enjoy anything from bar banging event trail, ORV trail, two tracks, dirt roads to pavement.
