If you're all about a specific tire I don't have any idea where you can get those exact treads however, you'll find effective tires in Anchorage at:

    Alaska Leather

    The Motorcycle Shop

...and the Yamaha shop and Honda shop have tires too. You've been here long enough to know all of them though so I'm guessing you're looking for something off the beaten path and may not be completely stuck on a specific Heidenau or Mitas, no? If you're less picky and just want a dual sport burner for what's left of the season I and several others here might be able to help you out. I assume you're looking for a rear and if so, what specific size and are you changing your own or do you need that done?

I'm guessing your rear is a 120 or 130/90-17 and the front is a 90/90-21 like every other middle weight DS bike. Got to have new shoes or will burners do the trick?

Im not a fan of the continental tires that seem to be about the only option. i wouldnt mind a tkc 80 up front but i am looking for longevity on the rear. i dont want a nearly 200 dollar tire that is barely good for 4000 miles. i am considering buying the TKC70s but i want atleast a 50/50 tire if at all possible

My intent is not to be rude, but I suspect that a phone call to dealers listed in the yellow pages might lead you to an answer quicker than here on the forum.... I don't think anyone keeps track of their local dealer tire inventory.

I'd call Barb at Alaska Leather...I got a set last time I was in town and she was great. She told me she could order any tire I wanted.

And...you may want to take a ride up to Dan Armstrong's place in Fairbanks....he has lots of tires in stock. His business is called Adventure Cycle Works. I'll probably use him next year to put three sets of tires on the 700's before we head up to Deadhorse again.
