Wow, you gots some good eyes there. When do you pick up on the hearing?
Yep, I got it. She's in my garage now thawing out. Tomorrow is the initial cleaning, basic checks (fluids, pressures, etc), and then maybe a spin around the block. I know she runs and runs well...just want to check her out before I head out...trailer rides can sometimes bring out the worst in bikes. Yes I know she's missing a front turn signal...the previous owner said he was going down the highway and it just flew off....probably vibrated loose. Got a couple of matching spares in one of the many boxes of parts. I just hope I don't vibrate loose and fly off on the highway!
Here she is on the trailer on the way home.
That is a great looking bike. You will have a lot of fun with it.
Rarely do I fall in love with a bike(ok, not 100% true) but that bike is absolutely beauiful. It has a ton of character. Love it!!!
Here is another nice XS- Kenny Roberts style!
1978 Yamaha XS650 "Street Tracker". It's has an XS Performance 750 Big Bore Kit and XS Performance 2 into 1 Chrome Exhaust. New tires on powder coated wheels. Anodized frame with new bodywork and paint. This vintage motorcycle has been restored from the ground up and needs nothing. 30 miles since restoration. Ask for Dave Stock 719-240-1816.
I saw the ad for that one. It looks great, but it's not my style at all. The one I just got is exactly what I was looking for. The PO of my Yammy told me that he wanted a Triumph Scrambler, but didn't want to spend the money for a new one, so he built the one I just bought. I was in the same boat...I LOVE the Scrambler, but didn't want to pay for a new one.
I like a well done flattracker conversion - bummer about the square headlight though.
I agree, you got a hell of a nice bike.
shit, did anyone see that Z1B for 500 bucks? - I called it about 15 minutes after it was posted, left a message, an hour later that ad was gone - no surprise there.....
Agreed...square/rectangular stand-alone headlights just don't do it for me on bikes. If they're faired in, I'm ok with them. And on cars, they don't bother me at all. But on a bike...I'd be immediately looking for a round replacement.
Who's selling this bike? I might have a buyer ready for a no-drama sale.
Someone says something that differs from what you think and the only thing you can target is the fact that he is in, or from Texas.
I would say that is a "Colorado thing", but since I have been here I have run into nothing but the nicest people who do not hold it against me for transferring here from Texas. So it must just be you.
I think what he wrote was lame, but it ain't because he is from Texas.
No, you just have no sence of humor
Not the craigslist dude, the Texas dude, ughh...
I'm outta this one.
Just fookin with you guy.
Well thank you and I am jealous. Have fun
oh, you'll want some spoked wheels for that
