Great story so far, Rogue1. I hope you can finish it up soon.
Like the rest of you, I've enjoyed reading Rogue's report and looking at all the great photos. Don't want to let this one die before he gets a chance to finish it.
Took the liberty of using some of his photos for a collage. Hope you like it, Rogue. Looking forward to your next post.
As good as any movie poster I've seen and better cause there's a bike in it!
Slick! Really nice poster!
And a Bump again....Damn I wish he would finish this...the rest was so good...
He is still alive and all right isn't he? :eek1
Oh Well Cheers Rogue1....Wherever you are.
Bummer, I'm finally caught up now...I figured I started late enough that it would be finished. Fantastic read so far!
No posts in 10 days from anyone though.
How I wish I could just up and do this. If it weren't for me 3 wonderful sons (all 6 and under) I WOULD do this. Maybe in 15 years. Oh jesus...15 years....
Now, to me, that looks like a cover of a book. Hmmmm, Rogue, are you listening?
And before the thread nazi's jump on my head.....I'M KIDDING!
Well done, nicce collage!
Thread nazis? Here? Naaaaaaaah!
Hey, Rogue, you busy Tuesday night? I don't have class for the first time in two months (exam week) so I thought I'd take a break from studying and hit the Ear Tuesday night. It's still there, isn't it? You're still in NYC, right?
Okay... I gotta ask... Is that a "B" on the neon sign with portions painted over it so it looks like an "E"? Did it used to say "BAR"?
Don't know for sure how the sign got like that. It's been the "Ear" Inn for at least 15 years. By the way, it's the oldest continuously serving pub in NYC. The edge of the Hudson used to come right up to the side of the building. They still have the boat moorings in front of the place (which you can see right behind the rear wheel of my Rossi Replica)!
Returning from a grocery run this evening I had the good fortune of getting the salute from Rogue1 as I rounded the corner where Sliver is parked.
He's alive and kicking.
You don't remember me, Rogue1, but I intended to buy a bike from you and when I turned around you were gone. :eek1
When we met I hadn't even started riding. You turned me on to your ride report and to advrider.com and then rest is history. Thanks for that and for your report.
All the best,
p.s. is that little vintage bike yours?
I stumbled across this thread yesterday morning, around 9:00am. I read it until 4:50pm with only a couple of breaks and made it to page 45. I finished the rest this morning. Like it has been said before, it is like a good book you cannot put down.
My youngest son graduates in 2 1/2 years and I will be taken a couple of months off to do a similar ride, minus Baja, I've done that one twice already.
Thanks for letting us tag along................
I bet Rouge1 got married? that's explains the break.... thought I'd bump this in case Rouge1 see's it.
I swear i remember him telling us about some big news/event at the end of the story .
This report (as well as the others) really got my wife onboard with me getting a bike. Thanks man.
Its Rogue. Not Rouge. From the American Heritage Dictionary:
rogue n. A person who is playfully mischievous.
rouge n. A red or pink cosmetic for coloring the cheeks or lips.
Thanks mistercindy! I thought it may be incorrect when I was typing, but I was too lazy to verify it - sorry newbie mistake.
one day i'll get my email notification for this thread and the new post will actually be Rogue.......oh yes one day, it will happen.
