I had an oil filter that was a little hard to get out. I clipped on one of those real strong magnets from the computer hard drive that I destroyed a few weeks ago. Put the pliers up close to it and snap it connected right to them and pulled the filter out.

I use a stack of little round strong magnets, stick it on the filter end and presto-pullo, out it comes.

I just use a screwdriver. The metal end plate of the filter is not thick, just jam a screwdriver through it and pull out.

pull out that little plug (allen head) behind the black oil line and halfway down the body of the oil filter, stick a screwdriver in and push out the filter.

got me one of these years ago. works on LC8s and LC4s alike. strong magnet fits exactly inside the indentation and pulls it right out.
