Not sure what you call "dynamic", but it worked for me for the past year and about 12,000 miles.

As for leaving it behind, I just got into the habit of taking it off when I took my helmet and gloves off.

as for "dynamic riding" my concern was riding rough offroad, sometimes taking spills... I didn't know how much abuse the factory cradle could take before the push button dealie gave way.

:D Seattle's roads resemble off-road riding in the amount of potholes, bad patches to existing potholes and potholes where the patch is failing badly...plus the expansion joints on the freeway that send you sailing off the seat if you forget to stand as you go over them. The biggest difference between off-road riding and Seattle's roads is they attempted to put some asphalt in between the potholes.

But I've never tried to see if the GPS mount would hold up in a spill. ;)

It's the old professional diver in me. I look at the plastic and spring attachment and say to myself how and where can/will this fail.
It's one in xxxxxx odds but when you're the one it goes to 100%. IMO it's a sub standard mount and anything that makes it less likely that a crack in the plastic will send an expensive GPS down the road is fine by me.
