Hello guys, I am new to this forum. I'm planning to save up for a dual-sport, but I can't figure out whether I should go for a KLR 650 single, a BMW F650GS or a BMW F800GS V-Twin. I've test ridden a KLR once, and it felt like it had plenty of grunt behind it, especially after hopping off my 150CC Sachs Express. But how will the KLR fair with riding 2-up and/or towing a 60kg TARE trailer (for shopping/items transport)? What about the F650GS single? I'm pretty certain that the F800GS will have no trouble with the 70ish Nm of torque, more than double the KLR650. The problem is that it would take longer or take larger chunks of money to save to buy an F800GS than it would to get a new KLR650. How badly would it affect the fuel economy? Thanks for the input!
