I need some tires for a multiday dirt ride, singletrack, gravelroads, lots o sand and some bushwacking. Looking for something that will help me in the sand Can't decide between the two tires since I haven't used eitherbut I have heard good things about both. I am not too worried about longevity or cost. The tires are going on a DRZ.......

The trackmaster 2 is like having a non-DOT knobby on your bike. I use them a lot on my DR650. Knobs are a bit on the stiff side, as are the sidewalls. Loud as heck on the pavement, but off road performance is very good. And relatively cheap.

Sorry I can't help with the Michelin.

I carry a Trakmaster II shovel with me on every dirty bike I ride. On the DRZ I had last I ran every size available. Went with the 100/100 because it seemed to spin it up better offroad than the bigger tires.
My 690 has a 606 on it now, and I HATE that tire. In fact I'm going to ride that bike to a campout in a couple weeks just to kill it off. Already have a TMII waiting to spoon on.
