If I sent you my case I could not ride, haha... I might be able to swing something like this during the race season when I won't be riding the WR much.
What about buying one online and using that :evil

    Hi Jolly,
yeh, the whole riding w/o the cover on doesn't work to well. lol I'll keep my eyes open for a case. The ones I've seen have been over $100 for a '12-'14 clutch cover. So I always try to find one that someone isn't using. If anyone has one, let me know. ;) Gotta look in the WR threads.

Alright CrazyBrit and ClappedR6! Don't all get your panties in a bunch! :rofl I have 2 working prototypes ready for sale. 1 version comes flush up to the notch where the bolt holes are. The other version hangs slightly over the notch. I'm not going to notch all the holes because it was just going to make it a lot harder to make and wouldn't be cost effective.
I guess they're not really prototypes anymore. Just 2 versions I'm playing around with. This is the brand new '07 KTM 450/525 Clutch Cover that MANY have been asking/waiting for. Thanks to Rob A., CrazyBrit, ClappedR6 and Chris R (who loaned me his case) for pushing and prodding me to make one of these unique guards for the 2007! I wasn't going to originally because it only fit 1 year and the case is hard to get a hold of.
Which do you like better? Flush mount? Or a small overlap@1mm? The overlap gives your more protection and can be filled w/RTV when installing.
    No overhang:

Small +-2mm overhang(I'm liking this one for more protection):

YOUR WAIT IS OVER! :D These will also be available not only in Natural like the pics here, but Black powder coat or KTM Orange powder coat. I can also even do a custom orange LOGO powder coated on w/black everywhere else. Also have Black, White, Orange logo stickers. Or black powder coat w/natural logo underneath. These options are temporary and can sometimes change depending on demand. ;)
PM me or email me for orders!

Prefer the overlap. Could be filled with RTV as you suggest or I can just notch it out myself on the mill. I know Clapped is going to prefer the other one :D

Any plans for the 690R? Particularly in the 2012 variety.

I've been wanting to make a set of covers for the 690. Just haven't yet. I think it's the same cover '09-current. I just need a clutch cover to work with. KTM makes a partial carbon fiber model, but it's pretty crappy and expensive.

I am unsure on the older models but I do know the 12, 13 are the same and 14 looks the same in pictures.

I'd buy a 690 plate if you build them.
    FYI
The '08 to '13 690's have the same clutch cover ( same part # ).

How about a stator side cover for the 690, one for my '13 500 xcw
    also.

Hey Jlemond, MAXVERT and others! I'm working on the 690 Clutch Cover Case Saver right now. It should fit '07-'13 all 690's. I should have a prototype by the end of the week. Stay tuned! The '13 690R is my bike I'm working with. Thanks to Chris C. and Ed at Motion Pro for letting me borrow the bike.

Just a heads up that the case saver fits well for my 2012 WR450f. :clap

Bike likes to take naps so this is a great addition.

Congrats on the new bike! Sweet! I also make some great exhaust guards for the 350 that replace the oem plastic one which eventually melts or cracks off. Here is a pic of one.

Thanks for the great picture MTDuke! This Yamaha WR450F Case Saver fits at least '03-'12. Cheap insurance so you're not stranded! Thanks guys!
