Yes, the engine is complete!!! For $275 each we got 125cc 4 speed engines, carb, intake, cdi, kick lever, shift lever, coil, small wiring harness and shipping. Pretty much its a sore peter of a deal.
What's the projected total trip time?
Crap. I've just about talked myself out of a CT-90 and I see this.
I've been banned from motorcycles since my pile up with some rocks in the mountains. Family is OK with a "scooter."
Have the urge to build something anyway.
Excellent ride! Will there be one or two in the support van? Will riders trade off with the van drivers? And....which engine and engine accessories will be more reliable; the "commie" Lifan or the "all American" Mo-Par 318/383?
The projected time for the trip is one month..... we will see.....We have one buddy flying in from Hawaii to do the trip but he will have to cut out after two weeks.
We'll see you in Utah or or Colorado coming front the other direction.
This should be fun to follow. Subscribed. It's not far having a chase vehicle. lol
far should have been Fair.
got a west to east map? nice support van
Terripanstallion,,,, No, we just have the regular map. We will use a gps and that thing we all forgot how to use,,, our brain. Just going to reveerse the map. For all that are/will say it cant be done, please, please, do not waste your precious delicate skin off of your finger tips by typing your bad energy.
the energy isn't bad just slow and I have a hard shell, no hate'n here. sounds like the trip of a lifetime with some good friends and beautiful country. im 100% in.
Make it interesting, lose the support van.
Awesome trip guys.
Good for you guys!!!!
I'm excited to see this develop. Please keep us updated. I need to live vicariously through you as I toil away wishing I were there. Do it for us!
Also, I'm up in Oregon. There's a lot of great people up here, and I know many of them.
If you need anything at all, holler! We are a resourceful bunch, I'm sure we can be of assistance.
Do you have a build thread somewhere?
I would love to see some more pics of that front end and all the other work you are doing to those bikes. I have a few 90s myself and this looks like a great idea.
You guys rock!!! Trail 90's rule!
Here is an update on the bikes..... Just ordered the rest of the parts minus tires, chains, and sprockets. We have all of the bikes, engines, and now are waiting for the cables, levers, lights, etc, etc. Once we get these parts in, I will take a step by step pics of the build. Give us a couple days and I will flood the thread with pics.
Awesome, can't wait.
Wow o wow !
Lots on your plate just getting the [5! ] bikes built in a short time frame. The whole idea is nuts and that's what makes it intresting.
Best of luck to the whole expedition !
