I take the Port Jeff Ferry, but I put WRR on the back of my Pickup. When I had my Tiger 800 XCx I still would take the Ferry(at least $30.00 now). I go up Route 25, then Rt 8. If you want you can pick up the lower Conn. Dirt road Routes. Exit 19 off route 8.

we usually take the ferry with the bikes, not sure which one we're taking yet either 6-7 or 8
    We'll be on a couple of 1190's

We're doing the alternate route up and the tmt back we have to come back the same day

we did the alternate yesterday, the track was very accurate and the info on the closed bridges saved us some time
We took a ride up to wilmington VT. to see some property my friend is buying and we did most of the TMT on the way back, it was starting to get darso we took rt8 back to the ferry.
Thanks for posting the alternate route it made for a nice loop

here's a short track that i made to bypass the bridges

I just did the route into vt on wed and back today
Thank you to all whom put this together
    Truly an awesome route
    Few questions
    1. Heading north, around stage road the tracks become straight lines for the remainder of the route
Is there something i am doing wrong
I tried it on google, osmand, garmin montana
    They all show the same

Also the bridge out? I did not see this

And watch out around the pipeline road
    Many many police in area
On way up saw 2 sitting on side of road
Then today i was coming in hot pretty sure i got air time
And upon landing the police were right there i waved and they gave a thumbs up
But if they wanted to be d$cks im sure they could have

    Again thanks to all

I noticed the same on the transmass trail following tracks. The track must've been made from a route rather than an actual track that someone rode,

The 2 bridges out are on the alternate route I posted a short go around track last week

Something I found & recommend is to bring any track or route into Garmin Basecamp and trace over the route/track that you may have gotten from someone. The greentowinsted route was done in 2010 garmin map set. I loaded the route into my new Garmin Montana 680T(2018 maps) and it threw in 100's of way points. For a route you can't have more than 50. I might start using tracks instead. Tested it out on the PDR this last week and liked it.

I only use tracks on the Montana and i turn off all the maps so all i have on the screen is the line i'm supposed to be following

    i hate tracks
i was trying to hit the pupy dog into vt and when i got there the tracks were all just lines, no way i could follow that.
the tracks on the bottom 2/3 of the tmt i can follow
getting ready to get rid of my montana as this week i ran the garmin. 2 droids one with google and other osmand
bottom line is no need for montana anymore.....
routes is where its at for me, one day i will retrace all into routable maps
i so need and want voice speaking to me in my helmet saying turn right, bear left and so on
granted someone gave my a tip on the montana about distance to next turn or waypoint and that was helpfull
this gps and electronic crapola is killing me being challenged and all

Accompanied animalmx305 - if you can, take two days to enjoy the scenery.
Great mix of easy trails and scenic paved roads.

Last year we did south to north this Sunday we are doing north to south. Leaving from the Whistle Stop restaurant in Deep river, heading up 9 to 91. We will be on a Buell Uly (me) and a Guzzi Quota, give a wave if you see us. I don't think there are to many Ulysses and Quotas out riding together! I was going to take the XT350 but thinking of 100 miles of highway droning on it made me change my mind.
