The snow/sand drifts were a little sketchy. Some were mostly sand and some were mostly snow. But you only found out it was mostly snow when you hit it and sank. They all looked like mostly sand on the surface. This one was shallow.

The sand is blown up high enough to touch the wires here.

    Some interesting wind blown patterns.

Bob grabbed my camera and took some pics of me throwing roost as the sun was getting low.

Sunday morning about sunrise. Disregard the 40° F as that was when I first put the batteries in the outside sensor when it was inside the heated trailer. That's the last pic I have.

It was a good time and we had the whole place to ourselves. :clap

Thanks for the pics, I actually rode out there last thursday on the 950. Not bad at all except in the more technical slow sections. wish I could have made it. Sorry to be the "unreliable" riding buddy

Boy no kidding, when was the last time I rode with you? The last I can remember is my September ride of 2012. Say it isn't so.

January 25-26 camping and riding at Birch Creek 10 miles southeast of Oreana. Who knows, I might even leave Friday the 24th and camp two nights.

    Edit: Changed dates.

Have you ever been up Pickett creek? My great grandfather had a cabin up there. Probably snow that high right now.

The weather is going to be a fair bit nicer than the last trip aye? I am ready to rip. It's been too long since I've rode. It hasn't been a good winter for riding around here. I'll bring a bunch of firewood. :kumbaya

Sure, WTF, i'm in. no dirt bike though. I'm bringing the 500lb bitch to play. I'd ask you to ride sweep behind me to help pick her up now and then. But anythone within about a hundred yards behind it gets boulders thrown at them. Casey will attest to that :evil
