Last couple of years I've allowed work to get in the way and had to listen to people all year tell me about all the great riding I missed out on. Well not this year fellas. My ass will be there rain or shine!:evil

Hey Guys how is the Hammer Run for a semi Newbie? I recently got a 2009 klx250 and I live very close to the hammer run so I thought I may sign up.

I rode a lot of dirt bikes as a kid, but now mid 30's and first bike in 10 years.

    appreciate any advice.

Close enough to ride to the start? :evil

I'd recommend removing turn signals and mirrors from the bike. And have a good set of real knobbie tires on it. Other than that, just ride your own pace. You'll most likely come across someone riding a similar speed on the woods, and you can stay with them.

Make sure to stay for the bonfire on Saturday night. :freaky

Leave the rear on. That's what I'm running and a buddy has run one for years down there with no problems. I wouldn't run the front but that's just my opinion.
