They saw the writing on the wall. No profit no event.

I'm sure adding Sport7 as the series promoter, has reduced the profit for the local promoter.... more mouths to feed.

The promoter was the reason we got no info on Arizona as they have final say on all advertising, etc. etc. Hope they work out the British round somehow.

I hope they work it out. I believe the UK round was a professional local promoter, at a commercial venue. This means two extra parties that need to make a profit. Correct me, but US round is local club and public land? I would guess the club doesn't want to lose money, but isn't looking to make a big profit and the land costs would be permit fees?

State park and the club has the whole place reserved. Cabins, lodge, restaurant, camp sites and parking. You should hear what the promoter expects them to provide the teams. Last I heard the AMA was negotiating the deal.

I recon this kind of mess happens when a small-venue sport gets sucked into big-venue thinking?

Not liking the sound of that. "I'm from the AMA and I'm here to help."

It's the Auto-Cycle Union, I guess you could say it's their AMA version of Great Britain, wasn't gonna happen if they didn't step in.
