Grimbo was a full time trials rider then..... His Extreme Enduro career is 10 years in the future.

Yeah, I was physically capable of sitting here picking my lines and proxy riding for about 20 seconds. After that I began to ache and stopped breathing.

That looks like the most un-fun ride i could ever imagine! when i was young i raced mx, enduro and desert, and realize having the skills, strength and psychological stamina to ride that is just unbelievable! Though it might be fun for a while to plunk thru it on a trials bike....:muutt

    Graham is a machine.

In semi-related trials stuff that bugs me to no end: is there anything more annoying than badly marked loop trail? Getting lost on the loop just completely destroys my mojo :(

I got lost twice at an event this year, quit and then enjoyed the rest of the day chillin at the camper.

It has to be the #1 pisser-offer for me.

Does Graham run a stock clutch? I know he likes the bike almost entirely off the shelf other than a few guards and his own suspension.

A lot of Extreme Enduros have very little trail marking. He's navigating by the GPS on his cross bar pad!

Those show course trail location, but he's asking everyone he goes by which way to go, and I've seen him get lost quite a bit at events where they also use GPS.

It's like when you're navigating in your car and you're moving at 2 miles an hour... the system takes a while to determine which direction you're traveling in, and in the meantime you don't have much of a clue what direction to head off in, so you need to pick one, see where that puts you relative to your desired course, and then alter it if needs be.

Not arguing that it isn't stupid, but this is standard procedure for longer distance Extreme events. They aren't arrowed like an enduro. Graham has lost Erzberg more than once for missing a control check along the course. On a side note.... 1930's AMA rules for Enduros, required one arrow every 3 miles. You had to know use you odometer and route sheet!
