I don't think that works. I don't feel like doing 100-150 miles of slab to grab a local tag on the south side, and I don't imagine any of the folks down there want to head to Lake Gaston for this game either. There are other games that cover the entire state.

We rode up to the Farmer's Market for some seafood,
then grabbed the file tag in Dunn. Then we decided to
grab the tag in Youngsville. Now it sits in Palm Grove
    Texas..

Where is the map posted? I wasn't suggesting any specifics, but since you mention Lake Gaston, that sounds like a good option.

Go get the Eastern tag and place it by Lake Gaston.

The whole State is covered by the NC, NCNC and Eastern games. Why the desire to expand this game?

No real desire to expand or contract it, as others may see fit to reduce the amount of slab :lol3 But it's nice to see the opinions and associated conversations..

This game is moving a good bit slower than it has for the years I've been playing. Expanding the boundaries would kill it further. Honestly, I'm not going to run for a tag in Sanford, Dunn, Angier etc. at lunch or after work these days. Strictly a weekend thing at best and then I'm going to have to decide if the bulk of my riding for the day is going to be dodging 18 wheelers at 80mph+ for 100 miles or so as is. I can only imagine that you, the M00ses, the musketeers, etc. on that side of town would feel similar if it was dropped in Littleton or wherever.
I've been in favor of adding Granville and Vance Counties in the past as I like to ride there. But I've come to realize while that might work for me and a handful of others on this side of town, it would suck for just as many others. And there's nothing stopping me from riding there anytime I like. It just won't be tag related.

Expanding the area of this game would be a bad idea. It's a LOCAL game.

Read back through this and the chatter thread to see what's been posted with regard to what Schnabba has done with the map. It's very nice and can be imported into your GPS now.

The original intention for this game centered around being able to grab something quick and not have to ride several hundred miles in the process..yes it was a local game..but it did expand..people wanted to add their area etc...so it has grown beyond "getting something quick" although it is still possible to do...How nice it would be if Raleigh and Durham were not in the way...so to say...

The borders are typed out on Page one, same as they have been since this game was created. You know this.
    Stop trolling. It's asinine.

    From Page One:

The geographic area for this game is the map below. All tags must be within the area shown in the map below.

The map covers all of Wake, Durham, and Orange Counties.

    It also covers:
    Chatham East of Rt. 421
Harnett north of the Cape Fear River and west of I-95
    Johnston west of I-95
    Franklin south of Rt. 56
Granville south of Rt. 56 from Butner east. From Butner west to Durham County south of 33'rd and Range Roads.

    --------------

Yeah, the map is gone. Just like millions of other pics that Photobucket held hostage. How some folks that can blow their own horn about how wonderful a navigator they are and can't figure the above out is beyond me. Well, my guess is that they're able to figure it out just fine. Do your own math on the rest. And then take a look at who's "liked" the updated maps that Schnabba posted.

    BUMP!

It's a great day to ride (if you don't have to work). This is on the very edge of the map but the world isn't flat (although Eastern NC sorta is). If you venture out to the far reaches to get this one, the Eastern Tag is only about 25 miles away....
