Not sure I like the ergos..upper body is fine but my knees are too bent...I was ready to get off after 15 mins ..geez i hope it gets better..Oh and one of the previous owners took off the oem front signals and stalks and added flush mounted turn signals..they look cool but Iyou cannot see the signals from directly in front of the bike...no good...

Nice looking motorcycle Ben! A bit of an update from the Yamaha. Red is the fastest color!

Now dont expect me to start a mega tag run..i have not ridden in 6 months..my body is not adjusted to the new ergos and I need to become totally familiar with the bike as well..Plus my body does not want to bend to conform to the bike..so after 15 mins my knees were ready for a break..

"There are four doohickeys on the bottom of the Bandit seat that have to be unscrewed, flipped over, and screwed back in to raise the height about 1 inch."

And you're going to end up here eventually anyway:

Congrats on the bike - all the best with the emotional side of getting back in the saddle. After my crash in 2010 with a broken ankle, NCStephen insisted that i go for a couple of rides with him after I was done with PT. Helped out a great deal to start to feel like I was in control of the bike again. I also took the motomark1 course and together got rid of the "what if's" that kept playing in my head. Granted we all are different and our "bounce back" situations are as well but just wanted to explain the statement and best of luck.

Thanks its still a process but I figure its part of what one goes through to readjust to getting back on a bike again...Glad you healed up well...

    Grab!

Hell of a morning to get this. My SAE-USB adapter got stuck in the forks this morning, so the case cracked open and I broke it. I thought it would still charge the phone (the phone *said* it was charging), but that was a lie. I went to Wal-Mart to get a power pack you use to charge your phone, but those don't come charged. I also forgot my earplugs in my other jacket. I went by a friend's work and charged my phone for a bit, but by the time I got to Wendell it was down to 5%. Took a picture of the current tag, and right as I hear the shutter click sound, my phone shut off completely. So, I rode back home not even knowing if I successfully got the tag. Luckily, the picture was indeed on my phone! Off to Cycle Gear in a minute to get a replacement SAE-USB adapter. And apparently mounting it with velcro inside the fairing isn't going to work, because this is the second one I've broken in the same manner.

Hint: Oddly enough, it’s not in Raleigh. It’s not even particularly close to Raleigh.

I got an airhawk to try from a fellow inmate..but the verdict is still thumbs down..It did help but it still aint gonna cut it....

SeatConcepts - They are inexpensive and can dial in height, density, etc... to your liking.
