Gotta love Google Map's Street View. I was at that airstrip last year and kinda saw that sign, but could not recall. Then I tried to figure out where the heck you put a welcome sign in a middle of the state. I would not probably find it without street name plate, damn, well. It's like 20 min from my house :cry

I was about halfway to the Airport (RaleighExec) when I remembered reading this:

#1 NO FILE PHOTOS CAN BE USED.

I almost went home because I wasn't riding to the triangle to get the next tag, but what the hell the point is to ride right?

So does this mean No file photos or no file photos to grab a tag?

Sorry toyolet I am already home and have some pictures taken, just deciding what to post next.

I have said this to other riders of rolling barc-o-loungers like that hitech BMW toyolet has and others with FJR's and VFR's if I had one of those I would be chasing Alabama tags.

No clues needed, Unfortunately this Grand old Building has been in the news a lot recently.

Due to the restriction on access any of the main roadway views can be used.

Clue added to help the ones that don't have a clue.

How long will this one sit? Or is it too far from Raleigh for the soft derrieres of the so called Northern Riders?

Us Raleigh folks gotta get off our bums and go fetch this thing back from the country boys. Get it back up north where it belongs. :rofl

But it's rainy and cold and I can't get my chrome dirty in this weather.

Hey hey hey guys.. ease off a moment. This was discussed a lot at lunch last week with all of us there. The goal was to keep something local for riders in this part of the state that lack the time or perceive they lack a bike to do long distance rides. It was not even discussed in any way to replace the NC TAG. The few changes added were done with the discussion that it would be local riders for the most part so if out for a ride, in a small area perhaps a file tag wasn't needed. The time frame was shortened as well as it was again viewed as being local. The area was the largest discussion. Discussed were: do it by counties surrounding Wake/Durham and that seemed to work until you look at the width of Chatham, Another option was looking at bounding the area by set highways, a set mile radius of the lunch spot, or the one he chose. a posted map.

All the area choices had pros and cons.

As the one who posted this up he becomes the one to has to make calls on what can go or not go.

One thing that seemed discussed but was difficult to put into a rule. Take good photos of things that have some interest to the area,

No doubt there will be some more evolutions of it,

Nah, we still wouldn't listen to you even if you were at lunch.

    :ken

Just saying. That said the "idea" is local. There really isn't an easy way to come up with it. I like the way he did it with zooming out from our lunch spot. We talked about trying to say 60 miles radius, etc but no matter what someone would say "Well this spot is only 62 miles" or "Why can't fred's farmyard out in smithfield be included?"
    :rofl
Any way, not our fault you boys don't live near the central spot of A Gracious Plenty. Wait neither do I. :lol3

Edit: Oh yea, this is the intarweb. Happy thoughts. We're all friends here. I think the main difference is population density here for active taggers. There are enough of us here active to keep a game moving.

Yes this was discussed at lunch...I even heard most of it too...LOL:lol3 Initially I liked the idea...now I'm not sure. Regardless ...most everyone tacitly agreed and I heard no one speak against it..but I felt that i would wait and see...but getting a tag with the NCTOR has been my main concern. I aint no weakass rider from yankeeland and I aint afraid to head somewheres out thar...given I have enough time to committ to it. There is so much out thar too:freaky

current tag is great... interesting and sad.. done well... within map..

Yeah come to lunch and make your point. We have missed seeing ya.

I think the the airport tag being just off the map was the one he was referring to, not the current tag.

    M. O. n. Slang for modus operandi, the way or pattern in which a repeat criminal usually commits his/her crime.

One of the top NC Taggers has the M O of a car wash and rainy days.
