My spouse has been in school, medical, for the past 24 months. Her Triumph, a 900 Legend, has been the queen of the lift for the last two years. No joy, she just would not run. When she did, the throttle would not retard on downshift. So she sat... Over the last few weeks, I have slowly, methodically, taken off parts to get to the parts that matter on her Triumph. Today, for the first time in two years, the Triumph Legend ran. I drained the carbs. I noticed the air "tube" leading from the air box was disconnected. I re-connected it. Poof. She started, ran, and idled just as she should. Just to make sure I suited up and took her out and did a 20 mile loop run around Asheville at 70-80 mph. Home in the garage, she fell to an easy idle. Now Das Beast is up on the lift. Looks like the throttle is knackered. Easy fix. Nice to have the lift to myself again!
