Hey folks, my buddy has finally opened his Triumph dealership in Managua, Nicaragua. He's sold 5 bikes and the paint isn't even dry on the walls yet.

It is located at the following coordinates: 12° 7'23.07"N 86°15'59.30"W.

More conventionally, or for those gps-challenged, it is located across the street (to the south) from Hotel Seminole and caddy corner from the Hilton Princess. There is a sweet blue Triumph sign over the shop.

Right now he is stocking triumph parts only, but has jackets, gloves, boots and various other stuff. He will try to add adventure tires, chains and maybe some other stuff as time goes on.

His mechanic is factory trained on Triumph and has been a moto mechanic for a long time. He's worked on my bike (suzuki), yamahas, bmw's.... so he's cool.

I'll be in Nica next week and definitely stopping by. Hopefully, it will not have the same ending as the Harley Dealership :rofl

Test rides are encouraged...right after you plunk down the cash for the bike.

Honestly, im not sure. Call and speak to Frank: 22701223.

Yes he's in Managua, right behind the original Hippos/Woodys.

    Hola,
when I'm the next time in Managua I will visit the place to see what they have. It sounds good if they really sell some good stuff, like boots, jackets, helmets.

bah! who needs to touch the ground? i just need to be able to reach the pegs. the rest is just gravy!

but yeah, they are pretty high bikes. didn't have a chance to ride frank's 1200 cause i ran outta time, but i will take it for a spin on the next trip.

the showroom is sweet! small but very nicely done and plenty of room to display extra goodies. right now he has spares for all wear items for the line of bikes. he also has several jackets, boots and gloves to select from. the rest will come as business grows.

eventually, it will be a good stopping/re-supply place for adventurers headed through.

I gave Frank my F650GS Dakar in the hopes that he resurrects it!
The bike has been parked for over 4 years. If he get's it running then it will be a major achievement for Nicaragua :rofl
This might become the go to place for adventure riders needing a good mechanic and a place to get new parts. :deal

Since everyone from Nicaragua seems to be in here...

Anyone able to tell me roughly aluminum soldering is worth by the pulgada/centimetro down there?

    Cheers!

given the way most welders work here, i doubt that they charge by linear measurement. most likely they will look at the job and give you a price.

i will make some inquiries though. is it a complicated weld or simple? what do you need welded and where in nicaragua are you/will you be?

Here in León is one place with tig aluminium welding.
    I don't know the price.
What do you need? I can ask them how much it will be.

Like he said. I´m a big nica fan, just spent nine months there but I was traveling by bus and not paying attention to motocycle issues. I'm returning soon but this time on a KLR and I may be in the market for fresh tires and whatnot by the time I get there. Recommendations for sources in the neighborhood? Managua no doubt would be the place. And that would be easy enroute to Ometepe. Appreciate any tips from the nica biking veterans. Thanks in advance.

i stopped by there the other day to find a battery for my DRZ. Nice place you got there. If you ever need someone to test drive a motorcycle, let me know!:clap
As far as my battery, it's slim pickings in Nica. Hard to believe its such a rare size.
