Hmm...good thought. When I saw my bike lying on it's side, I remembered the picture of the shifter that tore through the engine casing of that one bike a couple hundred pages back, and felt so relieved when I got it back on the stand and learned it never even touched the case. Completely forgot about the shaft itself.

I'll check it out sometime next week. Leaving tonight for Hawaii and Korea.

I just returned from a ride from Indianapolis, IN to Tampa, FL on my 2008 Scrambler. 2131 miles total. I'll write up my impressions in a few days and post it in the Ride Reports section.

Fun video to watch again. I still never spotted the canal that the cameraman mentions at 3:42, just after the jump....

I bought his last (of production run) high mount rear caliper relocate.

I have yet to put it on. My dealer said it would void the warranty.
My dealer has also built up a trick Scrambler (Maxflhx's Scrambler I believe) so they understand mods.

The manager says if I have a warranty issue I would need to remove the relocated caliper (as in they don't know about it) for warranty coverage.

    Grrr...

I think that's just dealer speak. No offense meant to your dealer.

I would completely understand Rhodie's part voiding the warranty on your rear disc, caliper, pads, whatever. But, if your cam cover starts leaking and they tell you the warranty is void because you used an after market part on the rear brake...

I think a member has pointed out that we are protected by law in the states from bs like that. The dealer has to prove that you the owner/rider caused the part malfunction to void your warranty on a particular part. I'm not completely certain, but that's the way I recall.

Rhodie's bracket is a very nice part. You're lucky to have scooped one up Max! :clap

    '07 Scrambler.

What do the two wires that connect to the bottom of each carb do? I have been running around with mine disconnected since I rejetted it a few days ago and didnt notice much difference. Is it some type of cold start mixture widget?

Great looking bike! I'm curious about those bags you have on the sides... do you think metal panniers could be mounted to those? They are givi bags and rack mounts?

I'm looking for good, study, inexpensive luggage options for my 07 Scrambler - going to take it on a six-month long trip down to South America in a few months!

    Cheers!

I'll buy it off you! :deal

I was gonna buy that exact one, but had issues with my paypal at that time, so told Rhodie to sell it to next in line instead of waiting. Kinda assumed another run of em would happen; missed out :baldy.

Suggest your dealer google the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and get back to you.

Rhodie's bracket was probably the best piece i have bought for the Scrambler, top notch part. I miss his contributions to this thread. I would not hesitate to use the bracket! Really to bad no one is making them anymore.
