It's not the threads that are bad, it's the people who post in them. :D

Gear box in the same case as the motor?

Not only that, rumor has it that the rider will operate the clutch with his hand and shift with his foot. Is that stupid or what?

Preposterous! . . . next you'll be saying it doesn't have a dry sump lubrication system. :poser

    Pardon me while I :pot

After reading the last few pages, could I ask everyone a favor? Yeah, could y'all try to be a wee bit more condescending in your responses? It seems some of us aren't all that great with subtlety. :D

That dry sump system is just a fad you know - total loss is the only way to go. How else could you be sure if you had oil or not?

I have heard that the gear pedal and the rear brake pedal will be switched over to the opposite sides ! :D And the bike will come fitted with a new experimental brake system called discs ! If i can get a test ride on one of these new contraptions I shall certainly be wearing my good old stout soled army boots , after all , if these new fangled brakes fail , i can always rely on stamping my feet on the tarmac to bring the bike to a safe halt , Toodle pip chaps :D

    Hey Guys and Gals!

FWIW, turns out there is a copy-cat thread on the new Triumph here: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=550606 :eek1

Compared to this thread, it is totally lame and the people on it don't have near the facts we do. :evil

Just thought you should know in case someone is talking about the Triumph Tiger 800 and they sound really stupid you can gently let them know that they were in the wrong place. :norton

That is all - now let's get back to hard, cold facts. :deal

Think there is a chance that we can get a set of cranks and pedals on it like a moped? That would seal the deal for me because only then could I have absolute faith that I would never get stuck due to lack of fuel.

Obviously that would never work. The pictures clearly illustrate that the Johnson rod assembly would interfere with a pedal system.

    It's a big assembly too.

I've heard from reliable sources that Triumph is really pulling out the technological stops on this bike. Apparently the new engine employs a base-plate of prefabulated amulite, surmounted by a malleable logarithmic casing in such a way that the two spurving bearings are in a direct line with the pentametric fan. The main winding is of the normal lotus-o-delta type placed in panendermic semi-boloid slots in the stator, every seventh conductor being connected by a nonreversible treme pipe to the differential girdlespring on the 'up' end of the grammeters. Therefore we shouldn't have any trouble running plenty of heated gear, electronics, and accessory lighting.

Undoubtedly, the Tiger Cub's new engine has now reached a very high level of technical development. It has been successfully used for operating nofer trunnions. In addition, whenever a barescent skor motion is required, it may be employed in conjunction with a drawn reciprocating dingle arm to reduce sinusoidal depleneration.

For simplicity, no computers, electronics, etc. Just a simple Lucas electrical system.

I think that Triumph could get serious and explore the power to weight ratios of three brown mountain squirrels running in three wheels. It would kind of be a rotary engine then. Instead of a fuel tank, one could mount a bushel of corn to feed the squirrels.

Then if something happened and one was way in the outback, one could find a replacement power source: lizard, vole, mole, guinea pig, mouse, rat, badger. The snare kit could be kept in the tail.

just a suggestion. Hope you're listening Triumph
