First service on the big Katoom is done ($260...sweet!) and I'm ready to ride. Let's do it Saturday.

Like midengineracer, my skills are not the best and my bike weighs near 500lbs so the easier the better.

    Any Ideas?

    Gardner Canyon??
    Ironwood Monument??
    Reddington Pass??

I will be calling the dealer tomorrow to see what the status is on my recall parts but I might be able to do something this weekend, depending on the time...

Bike is being dropped off tomorrow morning, should be done by the end of the day so I will probably pick it up Friday.
I am not on call so if the guests at the hotel don't keep me up, I should be good for a ride on Saturday.
The only things I have done on my own are Reddington pass and Old Mt Lemmon Hwy (backside of Mt Lemmon, probably still closed off at the top).
If anyone else is willing to come out and lead somewhere other than those, I am up for a GS Battlewing friendly ride (I can get through a lot of stuff but it takes some time with the tires/heavy bike).

However, Wunderground is calling for 30% precip all day (worse on Sunday). This makes rocks much less fun but I will still ride, slowly, in rain; the temps are mid to upper 60's 11 am to 5 pm.

My brother called and Trumped the planned off road ride. We're going to be changing the fluids on his Harley and then taking a Road Trip through Saguaro West, Sandario to three points then south on Sasabe and hang a left to Arivaca, then back up the 19. Anyone's welcome with a start time around 10:30 or so.

I WILL be available for a ride on Saturday, Feb 14 from about 11-4pm, then I have busy weekends for awhile...

Where are you leaving from? I might participate, if just to see a Harley that has been ridden far enough to need an oil change. :lol3

+1 - Man take picture! A Harley that runs long enough to require one is like getting a clear picture of a Bigfoot ! :evil You'll be famous !

We'll be leaving from Northwest Tucson and running down Ina road through Saguaro National West, then south on Sandario at Picture Rocks.

    Weather looks good thus far...

And don't forget who's changing the fluids on that harley.....me

After I'm done with that bike, it could run on Karo Syrup:rilla

In all reality, I suck as a mechanic, my brother sucks as well, but both of us together we do okay enough to keep his beast running. As far as Harleys go, I like his. It's a Street Bob and it looks cool enough.

I'm not about to trade in the KTM for one though....

We should be leaving around 10 or so. PM me if you wanna come along.

That should be a nice ride, and I see the "rain and snow" forecasts have vanished.

I'll join ya as soon as I can manage to get one out of two bikes functioning properly.

    Sucky mechanics unite.

    Anything in mind already?
I think I am working both my jobs this weekend so I may not be able to make anything, but if things smooth out, I will be there.

Well... we could do a ride through the Ironwood Forest by the Silverbell and Roskruge Mountains, or take a cruise through the Santa Rita Experimental Range/Mountains. Of course I'm open to other suggestions.

A NW ride will work for me, but I need to cut out to make it home (NW) by ~2PM. My main priority for the 21st is bringing my 7 year old daughter to the OAM presentation. Gotta keep her interested in bikes, the culture, the beauty of the SW and out of mom's hair for a spell.

Ironwood is always cool. Shall we cross the Santa Cruz at SASCO Rd? :)

I know many cool riding trails are in the Dove Mountain area, but I'm not yet familiar with them. Perhaps some of you are?

    Dave

PS: I'm assuming my 600R will be out of the shop by Friday.
