Be sure to click the little "3D" tag where the "Driving Directions" are and it will give you a cool little 3D fly over of the route.

Ruby Road is nice. It's an excellent alternative to the backside of Lemmon.

Is this video a real threat or some sort of joke? I hope it's a joke... for his (I think) sake... Those kicks looked pretty threatening. I almost set my beer down and ran for my life.

I took off at A a couple of weeks ago but took a left halfway to B & climbed back up to 83.
Be aware the first 1/4 or so of that route is basically riding up a sand wash.
I got to practice picking up my GSA before I dropped tire pressure..:ricky

I did some back country 4x4 up to the radio towers south of Patagonia a few days ago, and we saw tons more trails and roads carving over the mountains that were too overgrown/narrow dropoffs to keep going with the Toyota's, but it would be pretty sweet to explore the region on two wheels!

This link contains about a dozen "Exploring Tucson Videos" - I think these videos represent our area well:

I don't have maps and I can't remember how accessible these routes are, but I've ridden a few of these on my obese GS, before I went to the nimble 690e.

Since there has been no mention of the Red Garter tonight, I'm going to assume no one is going.

I think it's time to put out a notice on the Tucson Craigslist about next months meet up and see if we can drum up some interest.

If the planets ever align in a manner that will allow me to have one of the proper Thursday evenings off I'll certainly come out.

I've got no use for this and it's taking up space. I don't have the time/gumption to deal with trying to sell it. Free if someone wants to pick it up. It's a nelson-rigg cl150. Has straps and rain cover. Main zipper is a little worn but it works. I'm near speedway/craycroft - at least for another week.

Edit, OK, that was fast, looks like bag is gone. I've also got these gloves in the FM for sale. I'll do $20 local pick up.

Just to add to it, you could take the continental road on the way back out to madera canyon area all the way through to 82 near sonoita, then take 83 through the lovely winding mountain roads back into vail/Tucson.

Or would that road across be a bit much for larger DSers?

    Anyone have one for cheap??

Just got my hands on a Honda ST90 and am restoring it. I want to carry it on my front hitch when I go camping.

They come and go on craigslist. There was one up for $70 a few weeks ago, and there's a guy in Phoenix that has one in aluminum (oooh) that I'm hoping to get when I make my way up there.

Cheap, though? Got a welder and some 2" square?
