I live in San Diego and might have to go to ElPaso sometimes early-May, temps shouldn't be too hot yet so i thought why not take 3 days and hit the dirt instead of caging or flying.
I got SD to Yuma covered, from Yuma there is the Camino del Diablo (or Devil's highway) which links to Ajo, or this track to Tucson. Might go there one way and back home the other.

Can't find anything past Tucson though, anyone has any route/track to ElPaso from there?

I have done rides in a lot of that area that could be connected up to get you nearly all the way to El Paso on mostly dirt. There is one fairly long paved section between Animas and Columbus that we haven't found a good dirt route for yet.

My tracks are on GPSXchange.com and dualsportmaps.com. Or if you pm me your email address, I will send them to you.

Thanks again, reviewed evverything and looks like I will be able to put something together that will take me there with minimal pavement.

I've done this route before. The aminas mountains are fun. Highway 9 in NM is desolate, and I didn't run across much speed enforcement.
