Small problem: in Turkey a lot of new highways, they are not in my navigator, a good map of roads in the province can not buy.
Fenced motorway, exit onto a dirt road is often impossible.

Oh dear! It's a bummer with the speed limit being only 70km/h for motorbikes. Very easy to get speeding tickets on main roads. Over the years I've received 3 tickets there, once clocked at 107km/h just east of Kayseri and the fine was doubled!

the speed limits in turkey are like picture below, for my opinion they are not bikerfriendly and in some situations critical.. a bike has the same limit with a 20ton and 14 meters long bus!

the radar traps are generally setuped 10km before or after the city limits, the traps are regually in wrong direction parked cars on the right side of the road. they messauring your speed and are in contact with the officers aprox 5 km ahead. if you see the trap and you are to fast - its already to late. try to get off the street and enter it after 10 km again to escape them. no num plate, no ticket :)

I hadn't realised that the speed limit for motorbikes had gone up from 70 to 80km/h (and 90 on dual-carriageways). That's slightly better.

On a differant note , whats your opinion on the 690 ? GOOD and BAD

As you know i'm going on the XT660Z weighing in at 3 ton !!! and just sold my DR 650 which to be honest would have been a better bike for the trip !!!

    Thanks Phil
