Gonna need to bush hog the area that we use.

Anybody else gotta tractor and bushhog of that can geterdone?
I live about 55 miles away and it's a pretty big ordeal for me.

I've done it the past several go arounds and now that our group has grown to a sizeable crowd, there's probably another fella that's chomping at the bit to step up and take care of this task.:ear

Tony, I don't have the means to haul my tractor. Do you think a riding mower will get the job done(provided it's not a Cub Cadet)?

    Probably will.

Pete and I cut it with riding mowers the first year and the second and third year I expanded the area with my tractor/bush hog.

I wouldn't mind doing it again but the tires on my trailer are looking rotten and don't want to spend the money for tires just to cut a acre of grass.

We got over two months so maybe something can happen here.
    Also gonna need a portapotty.
Somehow things happen with our group.:clap

    The answer is obvious:

    LAWM MOWER RACES

    Event date TBD
Several Classes depending on displacement (displacement defined as how much beer you can displace while cutting).

Actually this could be fun. I got a little piddly ass 30 incher but she flies....

Now that I think about it the Gov always cut the grass for me at Spec....

Grass will need cutting for sure.
Don't look so bad on the video:

All I have is a push mower--but I could cut the entrance road, and the area around the firepit for sure. I don't imagine ticks will be much of a problem in November. Is there any firewood left from the last shindig out there?

I can offer a 2500 GMC truck to haul a bushhog if someone had that.

If you don't think riding mowers can hack it Im not sure of other options.

Anyone else out there with suggestions.

If there is a cost , as for the portapottie, then perhaps we can ask for small donations to cover expenses.

    Hire someone to cut it?

Ya made me look...and apparently nobody does, but some guys think a custom Banks unit could be modified to work:
    http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/374042-70-hp-xr650l/

    Check out this excerpt:
I got 76.8 h/p at the rear wheels at my last dyno run on my 717cc 650L motor that I run in a 400ex drag quad, All motor run, on methonal, big power is possible on the L motor, just how much do you want to spend, I've run a couple of 717's and am now building some 5 and 7 mil strokers, the power will be in the 80's easy, but of course parts will break now and then, but a whole season can be had on a big h/p motor, in the sand-drag world a year is pretty good yeild for the h/p being produced N/A, but at the same time I can build a good solid 720 that you can dune[IMG] all day with h/p in the 60's with decent reliability on gas.....

I'm not sure I'd put too much faith in that last line particularly. But hey, I'm just a Random Dipwad, what do I know...

The gazoonies on that thread that are tryin to get Big Power out of their air-cooled Hondas admit that heat is always a major issue. Yeah no kiddin! I don't doubt 50+ naturally-aspirated RWHP is achievable with big displacement + big compression on RFVC motors, I just doubt the durability. I stand by my assertion that a motor like that oughta hold up for at least one Blackwater ride. And I'd be happy to volunteer my services for <s>wheelie</s> durability testing:ricky

I'd even buy the race gas

Folks have been asking for an EPIC ride for the Trot. More Dual Sport than Fastburn .

With that in mind - Saturday will be the big ride day. At trip up through Blackwater to visit the Lakes and other cool spots the State Forest has to offer. Lunch at Mickeys (seems the perfect place - besides being the ONLY place).

Friday and Sunday we can offer a "Military Stuff" Ride through Eglin and the Brox area - Eglin Permit is required for this ride.

    What do you think?
