My ex wrote a valentines day column about me and published it on the news website she is the editor of.

I know this because I was home alone and bored on valentines day and checked her twitter feed.

I don't know which of us is more pathetic. :uhoh

Daggy (the new BMW club Pres) actually asked me to write something for the BMW newsletter. One of the problems I have with writing is my inability to type, hunting and pecking gets old after a time. there, that's inspiring isn't it?

On another note, my heroic deeds have included much work on the GS as always. The BMW sadists who designed the front fairing/cowl on that bike make it nearly impossible to do anything without taking it completely apart. replacing the bulb on the speedo took two days....:bluduh

All Bearings have been replaced and the Freeze/Heat Measure/Shim operation will commence soon.:deal

Did I mention the damn fork seals again? :cry

TKC-80's are planned for the KLR250, fun with tubes!

    What you all got? :ear

Prop, why don't you take the wiring harness apart again for the fun of it?

I'm not messing with the wiring harness, because this time I'm messing with a fuel cell. I got the performance camshafts into the Bonneville, and the motor still works. Did I mention that I dropped a screwdriver bit down the oil feed tunnel into the crankcase? :bluduh

Managed to get it out with a magnetic extractor tool thingy, luckily. That was about a month ago.

Anyhoo, ordered various fittings today, and found a cheap duffel bag to hide the fuel cell in. Also put engine bars on the Bonnie, after swearing I would never, ever do that, which are supposedly going to be used for mounting extra lighting.

And the dealer says my new Tiger is on schedule. :freaky

Triumph released the accessory list and prices, and boy oh boy a second mortgage looks totally feasible right now.

And I am about to add a GPS harness to the Bonnie as well.

    So that's nice.

Watcha writing an article about? Huh? Huh? And when is Daggy going to do his camping seminar? I want to learn to be more interesting.

And what's this about fork seals? You're not using "leakproof" brand ones I hope? In case anyone doesn't know about them, they're shit.

I'm also vaguely thinking about a meet and greet at my place in April. The last one went quite well.

    Thanks for that

In other news, restaurant week is the end of the month. Good deals at otherwise expensive as hell restaurants. Anybody make plans? I'm going to Saffron with my sister.

    :evil

Just being my normal, happy, irritating self.

I will be travelling during restaurant week unfortunately. On the plus side that means I get to have an expenses paid restaurant week, and I believe I will be on a mission to find more Barbeque establishments in Texas. :freaky

I'd like some of any Q establishments I find to form part of my "chasing smoke" entry, which will be my first Team Strange event. I assume team strange stuff is basically open to anyone.

Well since I got the garage insulated and sheet rocked I've got a nice cozy place to do semi-heroic work on the scoots. The KLX has been the main target since I leave for Mexico in 8 days. I got new bars and hand guards installed with a new GPS mount and some electricity for the 60CSX. I got a slightly used one owner Acerbis tank to increase my range from minuscule to an estimated 150 miles to reserve. I cut a bit more than an inch out of the seat so my short leg can better reach the ground. Installed a shiny skid plate to fend off Mexican rocks. Then finally I spooned on a new set of Dunlop 606s. I still need to fab a small hook to attach the tanks panniers on one side and that should be it before we leave next Friday AM. :clap:clap:clap

Do you have heating in the garage Rick? If so, I would be interested to know what you chose to heat it with.

Damn, I'm ashamed of mine right now. It sits in the shed in pieces. That looks like the right way to start a trip Rick :thumb
