I will see what shakes with the family. I might be up for that.
Splendid. It'll be even nicer tomorrow than today. Either way, no worries.
Ride up to Duluth via Brainerd and I'll meet you at The Barn for lunch. The PIE there might be even better than SPC.
I'll let you know. It's too much of a detour for tomorrow, but I could be persuaded to ride there instead of Duluth. I'll see who else is in, and let you know. What time are you thinking for lunch, and are you actually going?
Yep, I'm going up for work. Will leave St Paul around 9:30, so I'll be up ther between 11:30-12:00. I'll be at he intersection of Hwy 25 and Hwy 18, which is just 10 minutes from The Barn. (711 Washington St. or Hwy 210)
Departing for Brainerd in T-minus 30 minutes. First stop: The Barn. Prolly go back for a second slice of PIE later in the day too.
Couldn't ask for a better late November day to ride.
Thanks for putting it together Prop
A simple cruise up and back - nothing too special, but a very pleasant day. Proper breakfast (sausage AND bacon), trinkets and baubles from Aerostitch, lunch in Duluth (at the Clyde Iron Works - very acceptable) and a stop off for pie and coffee on the way back.
Pie was - well, it was OK, but not fabbo, but even mediocre pie is OK. The boring local at the diner breakfast bar added some, er, local colour. In the end the only way to stop him talking was to leave the diner................
Sorry to ditch you Spike, just a question of amount of daylight hours.
Vampire, he be.
Happy happy thanksgiving everybody.
Looking forward to eating some pie!
Happy Thanksgiving to all YFF's!
That's some good looking pie. Better than Grainbelches I'll be bound.
'twas damn good, no doubt about that!
Actually had a real turkey dinner for a change this year. So nice not to be at work.
Just me, Ma, and Gram again this year. Lovely turkey dinner, fresh pumpkin pie, lots of coffee, and didn't see snow until returning to the metro.
Hope you all were similarly amused, entertained, fed.
Any Thanksgiving that allow for a few hours riding time is a plus.
Bike is now full of ethanol free 91 and Seafoam mix.
Hard to look outside and believe this morning was so warm.
Happy Thanksgiving all.
Had a great day as well. Dad's wild rice & sausage stuffing rocked, as always. And I had triple desserts. Probably won't eat for a week.....
It was a one meal day...
