Any Thanksgiving that allow for a few hours riding time is a plus.
Bike is now full of ethanol free 91 and Seafoam mix.
Hard to look outside and believe this morning was so warm.

    Happy Thanksgiving all.

Had a great day as well. Dad's wild rice & sausage stuffing rocked, as always. And I had triple desserts. Probably won't eat for a week.....

I did my best to eat all the food Pinecone and Flash had been working hard to make.

    :dg

I didn't eat it all, but I made a pretty sizeable dent in what was there. *burp*.

    Good times.

I got in 12k miles on the Strom (record for me) so it was a great year for riding.

Yes, very good riding year this year. Seems like winter was a little delayed starting too, it was nice to ride up until Thanksgiving. Now the roads are salted the main bikes will go to bed, but the KLR650 might be brought out on occassion if there are clear enough days.

Well - it IS winter. It's not like we weren't expecting it.

But yes, it's a bit nippy out, and so begins shoppe season. :clap

Had a good time in the shed today, I did. :thumb

Okay, two KLR250's stashed for first time (12 & 14 year old boys) riders on xmas morning:evil We'll need to successfully complete the ATV Safety Training CD and Safety Training class. Considering no previous riding experience, a MN winter and no private property for "skills practice" any suggestions you all may have for facilitating a successful spring intro would be appreciated.

Let the pro's handle it. Go to the motorcycle show, there'll be a few booths for that sort of thing. If you're like me, it's really hard to teach your own kids.

I know it is a bit of a haul but the Glacial Lakes Motorcycle Club (http://www.glmc.org/ ) has an off road riding area by Watertown SD

We usually go out there early in the spring to play around. They also offer scholarship money to any youth taking a safety course. The area is free and can be as simple or challenging as you wish to make it.

If you watch the web site you will see when we are heading out there and we can maybe set up some car pooling.

Only 7 weeks to go :clap

I was considering this. Good to know the reviews are positive. This looks to be a great place for that 1st ride.

Ah yes, I picked up a tag there earlier this year. I'll keep an eye on the website for sure.

    Thanks:beer

DirtBike Tech will likely be at the IMS at some point. PM me around that time, I can find out when/where they will be there.

These beats the hell out of any Christmas present I'm gettin' this year....:cry Lucky two, they are. :thumb
