Yes, I have tyre balancing apparatus.
No far away places but to go to Rochester/Cities(100+ miles, round trip) in minus/single digit temps just to do it. I ride because I can and to encourage people to do what is out of the norm. Riding(winter or not) isn't about distance or places, it's the thrill of getting there. Winter riding gives me the thrill due to I have to pay so much attention to road coditions and surrounding. I also ride only by layer(no elctronics) to see what it takes to make it. I don't do electronic right now because i still testing out situation. Just remember, this is the State we choose to live in and figure I will ride if roads are clear. I have found out my sloped 300 ft drive gives me the most challenge(state roads clear drive not so much).
Prop, I respect your opinions and hope someday you find the thrill to winter riding like I have(took me 40 years to find the adventure). We all have different thrills, may you follow yours and I will follow mine.
I did that winter riding no matter what thing one year here, to be honest I found it tedious, and far too hard on the bike. It just doesn't appeal any more, just as commuting to rochester or riding to Minneapolis doesn't appeal in either winter or summer, but I am glad you enjoy what you are doing. That's the most important thing, really. Watch out for the arse hats. I still see drivers texting, even on icy roads. :huh
I have winter projects now, so the weather being shyt is not the issue that it used to be. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to my first Delta Diner run of 2013. I considered going there by car, but it's not the same.
I tell my wife that all the time but she just rolls her eyes, then we drive!
I found nothing wrong with the seat height. And it's adjustable, y'know.
Don't worry, if there's one thing Grainy knows about it's slacken off.
Where did the posts go?
I pruned one of mine.
Anybody wanna go drink some 'spensive scotch?
I can do that at home.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand now Barnyard can tell his Phillips story again.
Story number 8, Mr Barnyard, if you please.
8 yells the new inmate.
Why isn't anyone laughing?
Must be your delivery.
Probably. I am just no good at telling good stories.
Do you need a hug?
Yes please! I feel so lonely and dejected these days.
Ever since, you know, being jilted at Stanleys.
Agreed, but I can't wait to wake it from its long winters nap.
When viewing ADV using the "ADVrider 2.0" theme, lot's of the usual buttons appear to be missing--"Log In" being one of them. :huh
Tried a couple of different browsers (same computer though).
Thankfully, after a little blank-eyed staring and head scratching, I changed to another theme and voila!
In other news, "Paging Mr. Waste. Mr. M. Waste, please pick up the blue phone."
I'm picking up one of these:
and I'm soliciting informed opinions about things like a GPS mount, and tank/tail bags or a dry bag or milk crates!
Enjoy your first oil change. :huh
